"I meant well"

Hey there; hope everyone is doing well today.

Been lurking on the forum for a while but decided to make an account.

Here's why I'm here:

1) Wasted my money getting a Master's Degree in Psych (Evolutionary, Social emphasis) to get "authority status" on the topics I love

2) Wrote a book right after graduating in May that did well to get more "authority"

3) Started blogging with a big site to syphon their audience to a landing page and build a list (so far 320 sign ups)

4) Found out no one cares about my degree (damn) but my audience likes my content (awesome)

5) Found out just how saturated "self-help through psychology" is

6) Can't find a tweak to get my site to rank for keywords (it's just too broad & traffic conversions through the big site are inconsistent)

So after 8 months my site sits with:

DA of 15
PA of 30
320 email subscribers

I was going for the "create great content & serve your audience" route but am now open to pretty much anything that works.

I read the forum everyday and have learned a lot. This is why I want to first and foremost say thank you to those that share.
