I have been scammed - What can I do?

Hi,

I have been scammed by two people trying to buy Youtube channels on Fameswap.com
I have navigated more on the site and I can tell there is more scammers than we could think of (there are some patterns, etc.). I was wondering if someone know what I could do in this situation. Can I report them on Youtube and get their account closed? Can I do something on Fameswap?

If you have more ideas I am willing to hear them. Thanks.

Fameswap has an escrow system. How did u get scammed? Payment method?
 
Well if you report it as selling acc youtube won't care. but if you report it as stolen than you can have progress.
the problem is when they report that you selling it. it can end up with the acc get banned.
 
No I'm the buyer. I did not use Escrow cause I wanted to get them fast. Do you think I can still report the Youtube account as stolen ? Considering it should be mine after what I paid?

Unless it is a copyright infringment youtube are not interested in third party dealings. You should report it to fameswap but then again they will remind you that you should had followed their terms and conditions.

Nothing you can do chalk it down as a lesson.
 
Your greed got the better of you. The painful lessons are the most memorable. Always keep a healthy dose of skepticism on the internet, especially regarding monetary transaction. Better luck next time!
 
OP only thing you can do is report it to fameswap - you wont get your money but they might ban them if you can show proof. Then again I expect the scammers to come back and register with a different account using some proxy which they they probably got from this forum. How ironic will that be...
 
You should never do any payment outside of site offered options. If you do, you have no protection against scammers.

Scammers are everywhere, even here on this very forum. You have to be careful when buying things online.
