Hello,

I started my account back in 2011. I used a program called, "Instag*t" which could like more than 10k images in just half a day (before Facebook bought instagram). Then I made another account for shoutout. I used the same program, but targetted the "niche" for shoutout and following people.

I gave them a requirement of "Follow -insertistagramname-. Like and comment on 5 recent photos, and tag your bestfriend. After doing so, comment on this photo and I will randomly pick 10 people to win some shoutouts."

After 4 months, my instagram account went to nearly 35k followers, generating 2-4k likes per post, with comments and followers tagging their friends. It has been 3 years since I was last active, and before being inactive, I changed my account into a personal one but never really used it afterwards. Since then and now, I have lost more than half of my followers. I don't even know if they are ghost followers or not.

Any form of tips on how to get back into having active followers again, please let me know. I am unsure if I want to spend money, but I would rather do this without spending any cash on it. Although, I could give a shoutout of your account once my account starts to inflate again if you were one of the people here who helped me out.

I won't be giving out my account username nor which niche my account is targetting. Thanks for reading.

Kind Regards,
Ex.

Well step one would be to a) change it to your niche (if thats your plan). and step two would be to start making post regularly again..

Yeah, I changed it back earlier before posting. I am currently doing that now, but the process is slow unlike before. I guess this is what I get for being inactive for 3 years.

why not use it to throw links for people like fiver jobs and start to build up again thats what i would do test it on some links see what comes up

Well if you just start posting my guess is most of them are just going to unfollow you, so maybe doing a giveaway would keep them interested since you basically came out of nowhere after 3 years.

That could be my last resort, to pay money. For now, just wanting a little help or tips on how to get back into this without spending while I'm not generating any income.

Yeah, that was my fault. By the time I had 35k followers, didn't have any plans and was immature. I could have used that opportunity to build up audience and earning some money, I was just too ignorant. All I care was having followers, but had no real plans back then.
