I hate how the Youth is developing!

I don't know, with all the bullshit that is going on lately, it seems like our Youth nowadays is turning into shit. Why? Well, i just looked on TikTok for marketing reasons and realized that all of these videos there are pure garbage, everyone that has 500 followers on TikTok thinks he automatically is an entrepreneuer while continuing to post shitty content.

I see these girls, that are 16 years old, showing their huge eyes on TikTok (meaning they are on drugs) with a song in the background about MDMA while some younger kids comment "
sympathetic", WTF! Is this what this youth is turning into? 16 y/o druggies that live their whole life on the internet trying to become an entreprenuer by posting videos of their half naked body while "dancing" to a song?

Now don't get me wrong, there are great and very creative people on TikTok but the majority of it, is just pure bullshit. And Snapchat? Jesus, don't get me started on this crappy platform...

What has this world turned into? What's your take on it? Do you ignore this shit or does it bother you as well?

Idk man if i was a girl and i could get idiots to send me money just by showing some skin i would. I mean just swipe. Tiktok eventually filters what shows up. I have honestly never gotten any videos like the one you're mentioning idk if its luck or just the algorithm seeing i dont care for stupid videos
 
It bothers me as well but we can’t blame them.

It’s the fault of the platform, the society we live in and our fault (we marketeers), as we most likely will use ‘the perfect image’ of a girl to show them our product.

I mean, if I was their age, I wouldn’t know better either.
 
Without them, we wouldn't make as much $. I mostly just ignore it in my spare time as much as possible
 
It's always been like this, gramps. With social media and internet, it's just easier for you to see it, when it's shoved in your face like that.

If you didn't want em to turn out like that, shoulda raised em better ;)
 
It bothers the world and majority are from 3rd generation and above. Because technology has developed to the extent which wasn't there in earlier time.
Well id you digg in and try to see, this shit has been created by previous generation as well. So jesus sent them to balance the world rather then all good and all shit in the world.
 
just kids being kids, not sure what it has to do with the platforms or the "youth". everyone did stupid shit in their teens
 
I totally see your point. I think it's an age thing though, I'm 35.

I had a quick browse on there the other day and I find it incredibly depressing. So much so I had to close it.

I'd say try and take a positive view on it. So for example..

You'll feel less guilty spamming it because it's already trash

Stupid people are easier to make money from because they impulse buy much more

You know what all these people are thinking so they are easier to sell to

I always try and look for the silver lining in every thunderstorm :)
 
Fortunately it's not in my face, because i don't use social media for personal purposes at all. But it's enough, if you look at them IRL to come to the same conclusion. I mean, what's with that stupid haircut every teenage boy have these days? They all look the same, zero creativity, zero individualism. But it's ok. When you're young, you're part of the sheeple more than in any other period throughout your lifetime. Peer pressure is big, hence you adopt stupid things/habits, you otherwise wouldn't. When you grow older, you leave most of it behind and you become a functioning adult. At least this is how, it's supposed to work.

Isn't this whole "the youth is turning into shit" what those say, who aren't young anymore? :p It happens in every era.

Time will tell, i guess.

The "youth" angle you mentioned half it is parents.

I'm a parent my daughter wants a phone (she's 10) I've refused because she does not have a valid reason to have one. EVEN if she did... id refuse. She gets upset over the stupidest things, can communicate when she's not glued to the tv and is just a typical CHILD.

Now everyone else her age has a phone but none are socially developed to have one yet they all have them to go on a social platform.. it's nuts.

Parents are caving into their child over social pressure (everyone has a phone so they must also) - to move them over a social platform they are not prepared for mentally or emotionally!

My wife wants her to have one when she goes to comp next year. Again I'm refusing. I never had one as a kid and I was just fine - my concern is I'm a generation who didn't have one and I need to figure out whats best (I could be totally wrong) for my kid as it's never happened before.

I'm trying to let her switch off from school as well last thing id want is her to have a problem then the phone starts buzzing with the shit storm continuing..

The current "youth" generation that is coming up is going to be facing a ton of problems never experienced before... don't get me started!
