I completely lost my trust in "Content Is King"

lol I only need 4k a month to make $400 - $500. I dont need and expect that much traffic especially for spun site, but yeah. If my competitor report me my site will be banned. That's a part of the game.

Really, I thought it would be more like $40 - $50? How would you get 10x that? Just well optimized offers?

I don't promote amazon affiliate program and CPA offers, but my own products.

Content is King is scam.

I run an automated mp3 search engine script. And all content are scraped from the web.
Sometimes I rank higher than the original poster.

The only issue I have (once in a while) is thin content.

How likely is such a manual review from your experience? My most successful spam site is 2.5 years old now and had 250k+ visitors since then and is still going strong on Google search. It is not an English site though, maybe the are less strict with manual reviews for other languages.

If you're a small site with little traffic highly unlikely. Start becoming a big and popular site, or get reported by a competing site, and you run that risk and then you'll be risking kissing all your hard work away.

That's because MP3 sites are not content-heavy and lyrics stay the same across the web. This strategy will not work with an information site.

What if I spin then rewrite or make sentences sound better? would this count as original content..?

Put the low-quality content up first. See what starts to gain traction. Go back and replace the low-quality content with high-quality content. Feed two birds with one feeder.

I built my first site 8-9 months ago. At that time I always believe "Content Is King". It took me so long to complete only one article. After testing in the last 4 months with spun content. I can say that what I used to believe is not true. Google does not penalize my site. eventhough my site is not in tier 3 language, it's english.

Spun content ranks even better (low competition keyword of course). The results of 4 months spun content website is better than my 8 months "quality" website. That's quite easy to explain because with spun content it's easier make it longer. Of course, I have to tell my visitors that the content just for Google Bot. Guess what? They dont care. They still contact me and I got sales.

I only spent 4 days for spinning and edting 80 spun articles and the results is better.

Total cost:
$20 group buy Wordai, Grammarly ( not only for this site but I used it for movie site having 200 movies content spin lol).
1 domain to test the result: cheap shit domain .pw $1
Hosting: I already have my host for all websites.
$0 to hire content writers.

And people say spun cotent is useless.

I changed my approach with english site to "Spun Content is king" lol. "Quality" sites may convert better but the cost is so high. I will make 10 spun sites soon. Domains are already purchased. Wish me luck !.

It's because you don't know what real quality content is and/or how to market it.
I rank in the top three for multiple keywords that get tens of thousands of searches each month and a few in the hundreds of thousands and the links keep coming now automatically because of my rank. That's a site that's built to last.

Here's the thing.

When you start a website, getting traction (backlinks), is incredibly difficult, which is why buying backlinks is the norm.

With time, as you continue to build out your site, and your rankings improve from the bought backlinks, you should start seeing organic backlinks coming in.

If you're building a long-term website, organic backlinks are an absolute must for continued growth.

If your content is low-quality, then you will never pull in any organic backlinks. You will always be forced to buy every single one of your backlinks, and your competitors, those that have awesome content that pull in organic backlinks will constantly outperform you.

Strictly speaking seo-wise, "quality content" is just nothing but corporate bs Matt Cuts as an employee had to say. In reality, there is no way a machine can tell if a piece of text is of high quality or not, as this is an extremely subjective thing. (What I consider high quality may be lower quality to the guy next to me, for example). Long articles? Sometimes you don't need to go through 10 paragraphs of text as some things can be perfectly answered in 2 lines of text.

Rank with backlinks and create quality content for your visitors, not for a machine.

This.
And remember we are not Ken Follett and don't write like him.
There are some (native) guys that write like spun content.

Content is not king; backlinks ARE! And I happen to be someone who sells content for a living.

That being said, your conclusion is all wrong. Spun content can only rank (not sell) until there's a manual review or somebody reports your site. And besides, what's the point if you don't get sales out of ranking your posts? A whole lotta work for nuthin'!

Handwritten content is the way to go, my friend. At least till the time AI becomes capable enough.

Not true. They go hand in hand. In my thread under the keyword research section, I have a keyword that I test for visualization purposes. The page that is ranking for the keyword has 4K + words and 7 backlinks. The other has 300 words and roughly 400 backlinks.

Without great content, you’ll always be second place if you send backlinks. You need them both

I truly beleive that Google no longer publishes its "rule book" because the rules are crap and it's nowhere near as intelligent as people think.
