I have a site in the fourth page for a competitive keyword with about 3 000 000 of results. The site has about two months and 10k links from 30 domains but it was in the third page some weeks ago and then went to fourth page. During 3 weeks continue staying in fourth page. I am making linkbuilding everyday but don't pass the fourth page and have the same position.

Do you know what could be?

your problem is you don't really have 10k links, you have 30 links. Google won't give you much more credit for links from the same domains.

You should try an xrumer service and also, my personal favourite, a subscription to Linxboss' link building service.

Another problem is only 2 months.

could be the web has a penalty?

How many months I need to see the website pass to the third or second page?

I made a 301 from a website with content indexed 1 year ago. Could pass the age of the domain indexed in google?

Thanks.

the site is only 2 months old with 30 backlinks and 3 million competetors? its gunna be pretty tough i think, try and narrow down your niche a little

The site has 10k links from 30 root domains and three million of results. Two months indexed in google.

Build links , try to rank for 2nd and 3rd keyword also. Add more links and wait . Add some more content . Ping it from time to time. You will get on 2nd. page but as guys said - you have only 30 links not 10k - most of them will be deindexed once google will respider them. I would bet that those 10k urls are from blogs.

Try add forum profiles , web 2.0 and more more links. Create mini net and then add backlink it also.. keep working. Do not stop and after 1-2 months u will see results .

ps. make sure to index backlinks as well.

Do you have an backlink infrastructure or are all the related links pointing to your site alone?

Links comes from other websites of other webmasters.

How many indexed pages on your site vs how many on competing sites?

How relevant are those pages to your keyword(s) and related core concept?

I think you have to make a good plan to get in top page of the search results.
You need backlinks from high PR domains.
It will be better if you can build links to unique domains.
I think that will help you lot.
And also make some on-page optimization on your site.

I hvae all this made. The domain has teh exact word that I want to rank. 30 websites with pr3,4,5,6 linking to me. But don't pass page four. Two months since was online.

I think I will wait one month more.

Build some backlinks to those 30 websites that are linking to you. Build at least 3 or 4 to each one, in fact you would be better served by building a random number of backlinks to each of those 30 sites and then building backlinks to those backlinks.

The link juice will pass all the way to your money site and that should get you boosted.

IMHO I would suggest you to do some auto approved backlinking like, Autoapprove Blog commeting, Profile Backlinks, Social Bookmarking, Autoapproved Article Submission , Autoapproved Press release, Video Submission & Question & Answer site.. Doing so you'll end with IP DIVERSIED and different types of backlinks to your website which will boost your rank in 2-3 weeks for sure.

but why did you say 30 links? I told you 30 websites with total of 9000 links.

@ronaldingo19 - perhaps there is some misunderstanding. But you seem to keep exclaiming 'but I have 10k/9k links from 30 root domains!'

That means in the eyes of Google you do NOT have 10k links, you have credit for 30. Let me explain a little about how Google works.

In the beginning Google just counted the occurences of words on a page to determine your ranking. So for example: Dogland.com has the word 'dogs' repeated 5 times on it's website and PuppyGalore.com has the word 'dogs' repeated 10 times on the website.

Google would 'say' that PuppyGalore.com should rank higher for the keyword 'dogs' than Dogland.com because its 'more about dogs that dogland.com'

But this of course is flawed logic, just because PuppyGalore.com has the word 'dogs' repeated more than DogLand.com doesn't mean it's a better, more helpful website. In fact DogLand.com could be an awesome website and PuppyGAlore.com could be a pile of poo.

Google needed a way to measure 'helpfulness or quality', but since Google is a robot and can't read or measure quality like a human can it needed a mathematical, automatic way to measure quality.

This is where links come in.

"Ronaldinho19, I don't know what your website is about, but if I like it maybe I'll link to it"

And guess what, maybe, bob mary, joe, jill, andrew and alex also like your website. Now you have 7 links! Those 7 links have been donated to you because 7 people REALLY like your website. Google goes 'oh! so 7 people like Ronaldinho19's website.. maybe its a good quality website, I shall start to rank it higher'.

Now imagine your scenario. You have 30 domains linking to you, but in total they have linked to you 10,000 times. That's still only 30 seperate people 'who really like your website and have linked to you' Google just think 'ok so there's 30 people who like this website, and errr, well they must like it a lot cause they're linking to it a lot, but I need the opinion of others!'

It's the same as a goverment election. I could vote for Obama 10,000 times but I'm still only 1 person voting. I could vote for him 6 billion times but that doesn't mean he should win. (and please, don't flame me about the Obama example, just an example, I'm not even American).

Final note: Sorry if I'm insulting your intelligence here, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "The site has 10k links from 30 root domains". Maybe there is a misunderstanding and I didn't need to explain all of this.

Thanks blackmamba for your explanation. I learn a lot with your explantion and the othe bhw users. It's a pleasure for me stay in this forum and learn a lot.

Thanks .

one question do you thinks if it has only 500 links from 500 domains will rank over the other thas has 100k links dfrom 50 websites for example. I think yes but I want to know sure.

in theory yes.... but there are many factors to SEO and SERP not just links.

You need to account PR, age, how old those links are, are the link do follow, are the edu links.
