Hi,

I am a newbie to SEO. I know the basics and have done some SEO for some little websites. I recently got a big project to work on. The only problem is that there is already a lot of traffic to that webpage and the company wants to beat their only 2 competitors who have their traffic above than 1 million a month.

I am in the blue now. There are 8.9k backlinks already made for the website I am working on. The competitors have above 100k.

How do people get so many backlinks. Is there a process? How can I increase the traffic from 480k to 1 million?

I want to know the basic steps to how I can make a website that is already good become better ie. double their traffic.

Already performed a SEO audit, and checked for bad pages, broken links and stuff like that but it wasn't beneficial.

(I have attached the Ahrefs stats of the website below.)

If you can't beat them, buy them
Maybe you need to buy some links...

Hi, there's a Bar that really help for newbie like us, it is located at the upper right part of this page so we called Search Bar , for sure you will get you answers there :)

That is a very big fish. Most big sites in my country have gone wider by mainstreaming content benefiting of their domain authority. I've tried this with one of my very big client sites, and I've been able to beat niche articles from other authority sites like United Nations or Wikipedia. You could just go wider on many verticals. Although I don't like working with these type of projects because a pure vertical competitor site can always outperform you by better satisfying the specific intent.

1.You want to take down the website URL from a public forum.

2. Piggyback what good links your competitors are building - See if you can replicate the same approach.

3. Always remember it's Quality over Quantity.

Those two websites are hella powerful. The only real way your boss is going to make inroads is to do the same things they do (and I imagine they will need deep pockets).

What's the budget they have in mind? They need to be investing many, many thousands of pounds per month into this.

You got a big client. If they pay big as well, good for you :).
If you can't beat the competitors with links, try to beat them with content (better quality, more content, better user experience).
BTW, what is the main traffic source? Maybe you can double their traffic gaining visitors from other sources than search engines...

The truth is backlinks need to be worth adding so out of 100.000 only 10k are worth having.

The best way to do this is scrape all the backlinks and then only use the best ahreff and Moz data heigh stat links.

after grabbing all the links join all the websites and point to your website.

It can all be done with scrapebox and GSA or manual.

You also need to add very expensive links to beat the competition, they're around $500 to $2k per month only user I no on here @Meddie who provides such links with no bs really works.

If that all fails above you move onto real pbns.

tip.
Fresh content is king

It's the search engines only.

Building links to upto such scales isn't easy and takes time. But reverse-engineering the competitor's content and kws is much easier.

Can you please explain what reverse engineering is?
