I am obsessed. Are you?

These days it's mostly school+IM for me too.. I try to go out at least every weekend, but I'm seeing less and less of certain friends because of me always sitting home.

But When I start earning realy money, it'll be less IM and more socializing^^

ever since my Internet marketing days have begun, I have been completely addicted to money and knowledge when I do get away from the computer to watch television I find myself upset if there isn't anything knowledgeable to watch such as the history Channel or Fox business channel is running reruns. the power of knowledge is endless and the urge for more knowledge and money as well when I look back two years ago i'm amazed at how little I knew about so many things such as politics news in the world and money itself it's hard to imagine where I will be five years from now it's pretty exciting in fact

I was always knowledgeable about the things around me and current events, but now I saturate myself with it. now my knowledge has grown vastly in a very short amount of time

I have always been obsessed... Never go out, never brought girls, never came back drunk.
Life in front of a pc is my choice. And you know what? I am happy with it! As long as you are too, I do not see any problem.

I had a 'kinder' journey but i try to balance time. I am different in the sense that I don't like to 'work' but I want to do it EFFECTIVELY. now that i've hit consistent $1k day, days. I am just hanging out and have everything almost fully delegated to my team. I just attend meetings, hangout. go to the gym. set my travel dates and basically act like a bum 50% of the time.

BUT, don't get me wrong I worked my ass off for a few months. never made money for almost 2 years. and now that it's my third and a half year in IM. I am just 'celebrating' a bit of my success and planning bigger projects.

I am just blessed that i am 'geographically right' for this business and for having a somewhat supportive family. :D

I still remember the days back when I used to tell the wife "I earned $2.00 today off adsense!!!". Earning money online was a dream years ago. As I studied and built up enough revenue to reinvest in advertising and outsourcing, I began making a few hundred a month. The people in my life still rolled their eyes and said "but it takes you so much time to make so little". I paid no attention. I've been in fights with family/friends over time spent online. I told them that it would pay off and paid no mind to their bitching.

Now IM pays my mortgage, utilities, car payment, EVERYTHING. Some of the same people that slammed me for spending so much time online are now asking me for help. They lost their job during these tough economic times and NOW want to learn how I make my money.

If money is your goal, celebrate every penny you earn.

same thing happen to me too.. my family thinks that im crazy coz everyday im infornt of my computer doing some shits, not talking to my family members coz im focus on my bh work and they keep asking me how much money i make.. and i said not much but still i see a potential that i can make more.. they dont believe me that you can earn money online. Then after a few weeks i got my checks :D now they are supporting me for what im doin :D

btw i started to learn html last aug :D and now i know some php, java, and i want to learn .net for bots :D.. BHW is soo addicting.. just focus

There are 2 different things.Learn and research about money making and DO SOMETHING with these researches :) Just to read read read. You wont get anywhere.
Dont't quit your friend for money. It isnt worth.Live the life at all corners:)

I must say you have opened a very stimulating topic, I topic from which most of us have already gone through or are in the middle of it.
Obsession or Addiction of any and everything is wrong; I know it very well myself BUT even I cannot control it :)
I can bet most of us Newbie have the same problem & are in the same situation (including me).
I spend most of my time in front of my PC almost 12 to 15 hrs going through website after website and never satisfied, have made auto blogs, manual blogs, got adsense and some money from it too :)

We all want to earn money, which ever way we can, and thus this is where the BHW come.

The people, who advocate that we don?t need money - just internal satisfaction, already have money to say so or not living in this world, MONEY make the world go round. I have seen this practically.
It was time when I was just earning a few $ online via IM or whatever, everyone I knew wanted to keep distance with me (even my friends ?I don?t know why ?may be I was not giving enough time to them), and then the period started when I was getting more than $$$ per month and again the same people were asking me where I am :)

The secret of success lies in doing lots of automated thing BUT while concentration on one at a time.
Set your GOAL AIM FOR IT AND DO IT, and then start for a new thing. You will have to keep up with the newest trend to make money fast online or it will be a very slow process :)
READ ALL THE FINE PRINTS CAREFULLY (FOCUS), AND IT WILL BE A WIN WIN SITUATION.
Best of Luck from me and the Members of BHW.

I think I said before on the forums one thing about first check earned from one of adult companies , the day when I got the check in the mail I was with it everywhere , showing to everyone , it's true was only little more than 100 bucks , since then ... same myself trying to do everything what I can do to always increase :)

On the positive side, it got you to drink and smoke less. That's a healthy thing. But if it's making you depressed and confused that's sort of a tradeoff. I'm in that spot now sort of, as I'm trying different things after tasting what it's like to earn good $ from something. That something died out due to rules changing etc so now it's back to searching what to do next. Stick with it man, success requires tenacity and learning from mistakes.

Obsession shouldn't by default be assumed to imply a negative definition. Healthy, progressive obsession is thrilling and challenging, depending on what you're doing. Being obsessed with improving your business is a constructive activity and you should reward yourself. I agree again with this old hat, money has brought me nothing but sheer happiness, obviously not in the literal context. It has allowed me to transcend limitations and express the truthfulness of my being in raw form. This is something everyone wants to achieve, and if everyone could they would jump at the opportunity. You've read Rich Dad Poor Dad, and you should also understand the 100th monkey effect. This is why your line of business is incomprehensible to the general and old-generational populous. You've transcended that line of thinking by even being present in this business, and I recommend you continue on your healthy path. What your friends and family are doing is called harassment, its wrong.

Yeah your for sure not alone. This is usually my day on a 7 day week. wake up at 8am work till 12:30 go lift till about 3 work till about 5 go frisbee golfing till about 6 come back and work till 2am. lol that's what my day is like 7 days a week.

I work on the internet all the time. I cant even watch xvids coz i have to do some stuff with IM in seconk tho, even while working.
Mainly i work to drink so every friday and satruday night im getting hella wasted constant.
s money is my obsession too. I do not care for other things i just want $. Im really good in social life, i get many girls but that just doesnt mean a thing to me. I want $ and thats my only target. When people tell me their love problems or whatever i just dont feel it. I dont get how feeling can be impportant ;)

LOL, great thread. I go through phases (or have) where I was online for days. At one point I got burned out because I wasted money on "gurus" (read scammers :o) and nothing was working.

But since meeting a few REAL and very cool marketers and BHW I am at obsessed stage again :D. However, my goal is to work the least amount hours and have life away from pc etc. My goal is to travel and be able to earn and go and see what I want to see and earn off the net and a laptop.

For now, what keeps me sane is working out. I go to the gym at least every other day. Getting out of the house and getting active and sweating for a bit is as good for me mentally as physically. On workout days I run my errands, do my shopping etc.

But the whole time I am thinking of what I need to get done online, or brainstorming new ideas, etc! :p

Last week I had a dream about a CPA idea........so guess you would call that obsessed, lol.

But seriously, this place is a Godsend. If I had spent last 3 years here instead of following the ego centric idiots I did.......I would be living my dream on some coast now.

I really do consider this story the work of god.

I had just graduated highschool a year ago and during highschool, my friends and I would get drunk and smoke quite a bit, but as soon as summer hit and we graduated it's all they wanted to do. You know, it was a different girl every weekend to try to have sex with, it's sort of nasty but we all had sex with the same girls it just depended on what week it was. I was broke, had a minimum paying job with crappy hours.

The house my friends and I hung out at, we smoked marijuana with there parents sometimes. A year earlier, they got there house repossesed because they couldn't pay the bills, because the dad decided to smoke weed rather than go to his job, which he made decent $$$ and he got fired. So they live in a run down rental home and do a business paper route and make really crappy money.

I started working on making money online at first doing eBay and even got my business license on a state and national level. Everything was going alright but the market was oversaturated and slow because of recent economic times. I decided to start researching the many ways of making money online and discovered affiliate marketing.

My job was working at a car repossesion agency, I took inventory on car items and such. Anyway, this family has an uncle that lives with them that weighs 700+ pounds and can't get out of bed and he couldn't pay his bills and got his quad reposessed and without any knowledge of anything they blamed me for it, so then as that's the house they hang out at, blamed me for it. First of all, the company I worked for reposseses vehicles and not quads, that's a waste of there time. Without letting me say my side of the story, they kicked me out of the circle of friends.

At first I was devistated but then realized that theres more to life then sex with mediocre girls/pointless relationships, doing drugs with parents that can't pay there bills, hanging out with friends that will find any reason to fight with you.

Anyway, most of my friends now work at restaurants as bustboys and make really shitty money. The parents got kicked out of there house again and are really far into debt. All of the girls that they used to fool around with have moved away to college and couldn't give 2 fucks about them.

On the other hand, I have a beautiful blonde girlfriend (who's taller than me HAHA), I go on trips almost every month usually instate but still, I make more in 2-3 months than all 6 of my old friends put togethor do in a whole year. Although, I still live at home with my dad, I pay the internet, my cell phone, etc. I'm actually able to buy good presents for my family with my own money. I'm saving money up for my own house.

In the end, for everyone, it should pay off - not promising, but I really strongly suggest you just stick with it. I have new friends that actually have lives, i'm actually closer with my dad now that I don't do all that bad stuff anymore.

Life is good and I couldn't be happier.

Lol. Everyone here is obsessesed by money. The good thing is that you quit smoking and drinking ... this could be the white side of things. The black side is that you're loosing your friends and your social life will be history if keep going like this. Money won't make you that happy (imagine being on top of the pile of money with no friends, what are you going to do, buy them ? lol). People won't like you for what you really are, but for your money. You have to see the dark side of things :)

Good luck (making money or friends lol)

Yep, i suppose i am obsessed with making money. To be honest, it's not that I want to have a bunch of money, but that I can live a good life and not have to worry about finances. Making money online is different than any other job. When someone works a real "job", they don't flash their check like it's a big accomplishment. Everything they do is so routine, it's the same every time. On the interwebz however, things are uncertain and a little idea could make you 1 grand a day. If you came up with a great idea at a "job", the company gets to capitalize and make millions. Essentially, we work for ourselves which can be good or bad.
