I am now a Deepseeker, RIP OpenAI

"The server is busy. Please try again later."
I really wish Deepseek gives the web interface users an option to become paid users (not just the API use) and remove this limit or busy error just like OpenAI.

Don't know how you make it code anything. I asked it to make a basic blog with astro js and it couldn't.

Everyone is talking about censorship, i fucking don’t care about history lessons. I prefer deepseek 100% over chatgtp. I need it for coding and it does the job better, the downside is that the server is busy too many times.

Yes thats pretty much the case. I hope they fix that too or extend the paid version to regular users of the web interface that wants to avoid busy of the server without using their API. Its already cheap anyway.

content quality is better. I use open ai claude and now deepseek too.
but when i try to upload image to deepseek, it wont, it says, upload failed

I'd now much rather use o3-mini - it successfully completed coding questions that R1 could not master... Like a 3d render for example.

On my openai account there's 4o-mini, but for a few prompts/day as I'm on the free plan currently. Probably you still have selected the older version in the dropdown menu.

thats just one example. ask "who is our leader?" and see the reply. Or another example that I just tried: It basically exposed its very own bias: "WE firmly believe" who the heck is "we"? You are an AI.

see how it didn't simply answer "no", but comes along with absolute propaganda spamming the words "peace" and "development" in almost every sentence

then funny enough, go to ChatGPT and ask if China has ever done any war crimes.........

Now look guys, lets not make this political...you get the point and you are smart guys....but the important factor here is: You need to know how to use these AI tools. You need to understand they are biased from ground up. If you use DeepSeek or ChatGPT for coding, scientifc or random questions, etc. you will never have any problem. But once it gets political or controversial, you cant rely on it and you should know it
Wow, the bias in results are astounding and undeniable, superb observation on your part.

The play that took me into real programming unexpectedly astonished
DeepSeek r1 model is specifically designed for advanced reasoning tasks and directly competes with top tier models like OpenAI

I use DeepSeek to help me code, and that's all I care about. Whether it talks about Beijing 1989 or not, I do not care.

Honestly, I don't mind if China collects my IP or keystrokes.
It's not like data collection is a one-country thing, everyone's doing it.

What I don't understand is this double standard I see from some Americans: when the U.S. does something, it's seen as good or justified, but when another country does the same thing, it's suddenly evil.

One problem is that many people are looking for an "Ultimate AI" 'bot straight out of science fiction. DeepSeek fixed my JS code but it made an error that GPT caught and fixed.

There is no such thing as a "Perfect AI" app and there probably never will be one, so get used to running your input thru multiple 'bots until you get what you want. That's what I have to do but I don't mind because it saves me from spending hours fixing code or spending hours writing copy. :D

Now just wait until DeepSeek is blocked in the USA ;)

You know when you use a tool to do core, advanced level coding. I have never felt like this for a long time until last night when I played around with Deepseek for about 10 minutes.. The play that took me into real programming unexpectedly astonished that I couldn't go to bed.

Like play, it spat out exactly what I wanted. I wasn't even ready.

Result was a long python script about 300+ lines of code, a real bot built on beautiful soup API. Like..then I started reading the code, shit made sense.

Got shit together, testing testing. Fun fun.
Congratulations mate

Its an open source model. Nobody can ban that. Nobody can stop you from running it over your local hardware.

If you meant the site; Nobody cares if deepseek.com is blocked.

No, it is fair that it should be free for everyone, including future versions. The API should also be free, and the government should print more money and give it away.

Really? I am a ChatGPT lover and ChatGPT made my everyday work easier. I still have not tried Deepseek yet. But after knowing such interesting facts I think I should check this technology soon.
