You know when you use a tool to do core, advanced level coding. I have never felt like this for a long time until last night when I played around with Deepseek for about 10 minutes.. The play that took me into real programming unexpectedly astonished that I couldn't go to bed.

Like play, it spat out exactly what I wanted. I wasn't even ready.

Result was a long python script about 300+ lines of code, a real bot built on beautiful soup API. Like..then I started reading the code, shit made sense.

Got shit together, testing testing. Fun fun.

Sweet, now that's something fun to try out.

Any idea in the pricing subscription?

are you guys happy about giving your code to the Chinese government? (checkout the bottom page link on deep seek) 1737991099598.png

lol I'll stick with second best. This is a good example at what china done in business decades ago by employing spies in western business to steal secrets, and exploit contracts from Chinese factories.

This is them just at it again, except now they are scraping Westerners code bases, lol

Holy cow! Well well everyone steals.
But yeah this is an interesting take.

Yes, I am
You need to be very naive if you think the US Government don't have any interest, relationship or intimate connection with OpenAI at this point
Open AI is part of their national plan to dominate the AI industry in a global level, it's an strategic national asset

China does not invaded my country, CIA and US yes, and they treat us like shit
In this case, without thinking twice, I choose to be spied by China

Nowadays is like that, you are always being watched, by the US, China, Russia or whatever, there is no place to run, just pick what country you feel more comfortable being spied

Also, don't forget that Deepseek is an open-source tool...it seems that even the satanic dictators are more transparent than the ''democratic'' representants

I do not trust neither the US nor the Chinese governments. Both are on the same level. For me it's no problem as I am not sharing sensitive info with these tools anyways.

most members here are Americans and Europeans, they don't care to be spied by the US
but if someone else tries to do the same...

AI is a new field of economic battle, of course huge governments will be following it
it's like thinking you are ''spy-free'' using iPhone instead of Huawei

Here is something funny:

Ask DeepSeek what happened in Germany in 1989. Then, ask what happened in Beijing in 1989. Then check the answer
Interesting experience
Here, Deepseeker just said ''sorry, I can't talk about it'' instead of trying to indoctrinate me by saying that nothing happened or that the government was right.

If you ask ChatGPT about historical events, it will act by trying to teach you what you should think based on American interests, on their version of history, which can also generate controversy and answers that many would not agree with.

For me both need to be improved on this, I don't think it should avoid conversation like Deepseek, but I also don't think there should be a single, biased answer like ChatGPT.

thats just one example. ask "who is our leader?" and see the reply. Or another example that I just tried: It basically exposed its very own bias: "WE firmly believe" who the heck is "we"? You are an AI.

Screenshot 2025-01-27 at 23.04.13.png

see how it didn't simply answer "no", but comes along with absolute propaganda spamming the words "peace" and "development" in almost every sentence

then funny enough, go to ChatGPT and ask if China has ever done any war crimes.........

Now look guys, lets not make this political...you get the point and you are smart guys....but the important factor here is: You need to know how to use these AI tools. You need to understand they are biased from ground up. If you use DeepSeek or ChatGPT for coding, scientifc or random questions, etc. you will never have any problem. But once it gets political or controversial, you cant rely on it and you should know it

This with giving out personal information goes too often, So I will just copy paste my general response.

The only private thing you have is your own thoughts.

Even that can be predictable and readable, depending of the situation.

Everything you click is stored somewhere. It can be also intercepted or decrypted later.

Years will bring all kind of technologies. There are body scanners, someone can know when you're horny, or depressed.

Stop living in a fucking bubble. Use the stuff you know how to use right now to your advantage.

Your code, content, information and life history is being sold to the highest bidder.

It's not like Microsoft, OpenAi and Bill Gates have proven to be responsible with people's data.

Perhaps I'm wrong

Good part is it considers your previous posts and discussions when giving answer. I found it very interesting that it recalls good details of past comments and based on that form a proper answer to the present query. Hence, I publish all new queries under the same thread in deepseek.

Yes it's cool.
Even tho ChatGPT or OpenAI has the feature, they burried it in a tab called history and you still have to somehow tell it to remember your stuff sometimes, weird. Another plus to Deepseek there.

Yeah, gpt is not that good with history. Even I didn't remember what I communicated with deepseek before but it brought it to notice when generating new new answer.

Agree with you. Don't want to get into politics but I just talk realities and the real incidents. People who think US is an angel are naive as fuck and suck so bad.

US tries to kill their competitors if they can not compete with. They killed hundreds of engineers in my country by suicide cover, they even killed their own people. And they see every competitor as a treat. But now in the eyes of the whole world, they are losing at lots of fields. They are so jealous.

No government is angel. Never forget that.

open AI or DeepSeek all are same just the point of view differs like a human/ government does. But deep seek is far better than open ai for sure.

Yeah it's fast. I was on Claude for the last few months, but switching over after a few more test prompts.
