A bot that teaches you how to create bots.

More seriously, I've been searching around on google, impossible to find a tutorial that teachs you how to write a bot that will submit forms, just like ultimate demon or senuke, but in a smaller scale.

If you have any link to tutorial in c#, I'd be very thankful if you share it.
 
I haven't done it in C#, but if you're already up on HTTP and how the DOM works, you just have to use elements in the form to build a new http request to send.

I've actually just strated learning c# but I don't want to lose time with fancy tutorials like build teddy bears dancing around the screen etc etc.
I would like to start directly learning the stuff that interests me. If you have any link to a good tutorial please share it or recommend me a book please :)
 
I would like a signup bot for local UK web directories. Not any crappy directories, I have a list of the top UK sites for business listings, websites like Yell.com, Thomson Local, 192, Yelp, Scoot, Brownbook.... these are good sites for local listings for new clients, its a pain to manually fill them all out for each client and sign up to each site individually. It would be good to have a bot were we just add the details for each new client and hit send, it then creates the account for each one and fills in the relevant data :)
Im sure other countries would like similar versions like the US, AU, CA and so on...

I think the gesture is great, as countless other programmers have offered throughout the years here on BHW, but to be honest, most bots that people have suggested have already been made, and are still functioning. If you have Scrapebox for example, you already have most of the ones mentioned here, which makes this posts useless.

I agree with what another member suggested, that you get into premium bot builds, to either build something that is not out there at the moment, or improve on something that is out there. Anything else, is just you killing time in something that no one truly gains anything new from, as I have mentioned.

But again, thanks again at least for the gesture of offering something back to the community.

What you suggested is correct. But I think people have variety demands and needs. Not even premium bots are sufficient to fulfill their demands. e.g. Tool I have created called image scraper.. There is no fuctionality in scrapebox to scrape images (actual images not links) with various filters and hundreds of threads...

SB Scrapes images. I am not sure what version you tried, but they scrape ACTUAL pics that are put into a folder of your choice. I put mine in my computer.

well it doesn't have any filter .. it just scrapes all images.. And also it only scrapes from Google Images... not from any webpage.

By the way my point was to tell that people have various demands and needs and there is no ALL IN ONE tools even though some claims to be...

I understand what your main point is, but I wanted to clarify that to others, just in case they are on the fence about Scrapebox. We don't want misinformation going about, especially since this thread is getting quite a few newbies to it, which again, might think SB is enough for their needs, as they don't use filters, such as myself.

Again, gesture is great, but I stand pat what I said earlier. Even if half the programmers who post threads like this are REALLY talented in what they do, that's a big loss to the IM community as a whole, because these guys/girls can re-focus that energy into solving real problems for people who actually are serious about IM, and pay for the bots they need to compliment their IM-related stuff.

I don't want to beat this drum any longer, but I think we understand each other more now, which is great. Keep on keepin' on.

Would love to see this tool with another option to check if a blog is deleted or not in online now.
