Hummingbird - Yet another Google update 2013

I'm sure that you guys have noticed that Google has gone and updated their algo's again.

I have been hit by this one and BADLY. Had a site with multiple Page 1 rankings and *POOF* - they all are gone!

Google has quietly retooled the closely guarded formula running its Internet search engine to give better answers to the increasingly complex questions posed by web surfers.


The overhaul came as part of an update called "Hummingbird" that Google has gradually rolled out in the past month without disclosing the modifications.


The changes could have a major impact on traffic to websites. Hummingbird represents the most dramatic alteration to its search engine since it revised the way it indexes websites three years ago as part of a redesign called "Caffeine", according to Amit Singhal, a company vice president. He estimates that the redesign affects about 90% of the search requests Google gets.

What are your thoughts on this?

This is a bloody loosing battle to be honest...

I'd have something to say about this if there was more information given by GOogle.
 
Haven't noticed a thing, my SE traffic continues on an up-trend month in month out. But I do write my own articles sometimes 2,000 words plus, all nicely edited and formatted to increase time on site and lower bounce rate.

I think my advice is don't get lazy, I think people who think they can be lazy and still compete long-term in IM are in for a rude awakening.
 
this seems bad again
my site also lost its ranking on many keywords.
Really bad if you ask me.

Hope to gain them back soon.
since I am no seo expert I have nothing more to contribute.

probably it will hit all "Blacks" , make sure to use "White Hat" techniques :)

I am safe till now because I am 50% Black hat..So no worries for me for now!

lets see the future impact on my ranking :)

It is amazing to me that so many people can be on a messageboard about using and manipulating search engines, yet seem to have no f-ing clue how to use a search engine themselves to see if something has already been posted.
 
I still have 5 out of 10 top positions on multiple of my targeted keywords. The update is looking for natural viral. So start with a new website, & drip out 700 black links over 30 days every month and you'll be fine. but make sure that your articles are spun well.
 
I don't know about you guys, but my keywords have skyrocketed since this update. lol

It's amazing to me that so many people can be on a messageboard posting insults to others just to make themselves feel better instead of making a positive contribution.

I apologize "God of Search" for not being able to spot the Hummingbird posts after my initial search, for I am sure your Godly powers or search always renders what you search for...
