Hey guys,

I noticed these Microsoft channels that scam you with the 'send btc and we'll send you back double' thing, but this shit is effed up. If you search with "bill gates live" or "microsoft live" or so, you can find like 18 similar channels, all with quite a few views. At first I thought they bought channels and live views etc,
Like check this out -
Or this one - https://www.youtube.com/user/gonzaloel11/videos

They all stream the same thing. However, the interesting part comes now.

Check the youtube url - gonzaloel11, or just check the channel's community posts, it leads to this guy -
https://twitter.com/GonzaaFonseca - he talks about how his channel got hacked a few days ago.

Here's another - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqFgDfBfWJbRwqFWwoE4pgQ/videos - it has the videos still on them that leads to this guy @ruzgarlive on instagram who also talks about how he got hacked.

I checked a few bitcoin addresses and they received like 1.6 on one of them , 1.9 on the other and so on.. in just the last couple of hours ... this is insane.

This has been going on for a long time. There are people who hack channels to do these scam crypto doubling livestreams or upload scammy cpa videos, there are also people who hack large channels just to mass upload. I talked to a few scammers who did this full time. It's really sad, they destroy peoples channels who worked for years to build them up and a lot of the time the owners are never able to recover them.

Regarding the Bitcoin/Ethereum scams, the scammers will usually send some transactions to their own addresses at the start of the streams to make it look like they are receiving a lot of money when they really aren't.

Unfortunately there isn't really much that can be done. People will always hack accounts on all platforms. Maybe YouTube could make it easier for people to recover hacked channels. Other then that, it's up to the users to make sure this doesn't happen to themby securing all accounts with strong, unique passwords that you don't use for multiple different accounts/sites and use 2fa.

those hackers are really really smart, they know what it takes to rank a livestream to the top, they exploit the livestream instant-ranking method to rank on very high volume keywords, YouTube stuff is on a leave due to the covid-19
so their streams and channels don't get banned that often, i don't know who are those people that fall into that trap, but i guess they pay stupid tax in BTC...

i think this is not so different than all the CPA content lockers videos that promise some "money generator" for those who pay by completion of some survey, this is the black hat world
