Hi all,

I'm wondering if there are any other web designers and developers that have started experimenting with HTML5 and CSS3? Have been looking at it for the last 3 months but today was my first comprehensive look at both of them. What do you think of them? I'm going to try them out on my next clients website's...

I'm not that much into webdesign anymore, as I was before going BlackHat.
I would say, it's to soon to use HTML5. You can make your client happy without it, can you?

But I saw great HTML5 examples, and I think there will be great features in the future, that can be done with it.

I was also wondering if it's the time to start using HTML 5 , what about browsers compatibility ? is it supported everywhere ?

I use it exclusively. Google 'HTML 5 Boilerplate' for an everything + kitchen sink jumpstart tool.

I downloaded Dreamweaver CS5 a few weeks ago and they support the new features in both HTML5 and CSS3. It won't be too much of a learning curve to migrate to HTML5 and CSS3.

Till now I haven't used many of the HTML5 new features but CSS3 is powerful. Takes web design to a new level and makes things easier (ex. rounded corners).
The only drawback is that not all browsers support it, but people should update more often.

HTML seems to be pretty powerful at least from what i've seen of it

html5 / css3 isn't cross browser yet so why bother. One could include some elements from CSS3 for progressive enhancement though, but that's about it.

Yeah it isn't cross browser yet so don't look into it too much. I'm impressed with the drag from the desktop file sharing. That shit is cool. CC3 is also pretty nice. Not as many changes as HTML5 has. But with html5 look into the websockets. Sooooo sick.
