How would you promote my physical product?

Hello all, first post here:

So, I am hoping there are some people on this site that can direct me in the right direction. I started my own e-commerce business 2 years with a physical product that does fairly well. I did all white hat SEO stuff for the site and rank highly for a number of keywords. I now have a second business/website with a 2nd product that has wayyyyy more potential, but I need help getting my product out there & I don't have the time to put into white hat techniques. I know that the demand is there as I've made orders already on Amazon and Etsy with no promotion whatsoever.

The SEO competition for the keyword is incredibly low and the product I have is as good a quality if not better than my main competitor. The margins are really high: 500% or more so there is room for setting it up as an affiliate product as well. My question is how do I get this product the exposure it deserves? If I rank number one for my competitor keywords I know my orders are out of the roof. What would be the most affordable, efficient & somewhat safe (I don't want my site penalized) way to get there? Or do I let you smart people promote my product in return for commission? If that's the case, what are your favorite sites to find good affiliate type products?

Thanks for the reply. I have and do use PPC, but so far have found that ROI isn't that great (with some exceptions), plus I'd rather rank for the keywords organically of course. What other methods would be the quickest and most effective way to promote a new physical product other than PPC?

Try reading around the forums about SEO. Tiered building, SAPE, and social signals are whats working for my websites currently. I haven't seen people say much different. Ranking for keywords with good search volume is obviously the promotion.

Thanks for the info. I plan on doing tiered building and SAPE links, can you elaborate on what you mean by social signals? Also, I have learned how to rank with my other site through persistent, consistent content creation with targeted keywords and little else, but I know there is a faster way to rank. From browsing around it seems people are ranking for competitive keywords quite quickly. Should I discard the white hat techniques or use a combination of both? And with a low competition keyword can I rank within a few weeks using the above methods? Of course, I'll give it a trial to see for myself, but I just want some insight on what I am getting myself into.
