You can edit a Wikipedia page and add useful and real info, then add a link to your site as a reference. It works fine, I got two links on a Wikipedia page and they've been there for a week. Just be smart about it, don't just add your site without any real good reason, it will get deleted.

You need to find information that is missing or needs expanding, then you publish an article containing it on your website and then you add the piece of information in the wikipedia article and cite your own website as the source. It would be quite useful to have an old wikipedia account that has already contributed valuable edits, so there is a higher chance for your edit to stick. Everything you do on wikipedia should be in accordance with their community standards or whatever they were calling them.
