Some tips to increase speed.
1. compress images to load faster
2. Use high speed webhost
3. Use only essential items which take a lot of space.
4. Use cache plugins if your website is in wordpress.

1. Web hosting
2. Your website total file size, use Gmetrix.com for that. If you have image with bigger size, try to compress it. Make your website total size to be under 2MB, the lower the better.
3. Use cloudflare and enable cached

it it still slow, then I believe its something todo with your web hosting provider.
After all, you site does not need to be super lighting fast, according to Google, your site must not be slower.
Always stay above 50 according to https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

Autoptimize and Lazy Load is worth considering for a wordpress website hosted on shared hosting. If you're really concerned about optimizing your speed for SEO perspective, just try Google Cloud's lightspeed server. It's fucking speedy.

Use website caching if not using already.
Use WP-optimise for CMS optimisation.
Fix 404 errors using redirects where critical.
Minimise redirects to absolute critical ones.
