Most people don't even know you can use debit cards as bank accounts, so for them this information is pretty useful. And I only touched the surface in regards to this part. There are debit cards out there that don't require a SSN. There are sellers that will "handle" that for you as well. Also bear in mind that PayPal never sees what details you register on your card, so that profile is never really tied to your PayPal account.
As far as I know cards from other countries are useless for verifying US PayPal accounts. You need something with a US bank account.
Its a matter of what you are using it for / why you need to be anonymous.... if its something where you are in deep and the feds came after you, for example, they would be able to trace it to the bank account (even though the acct info isn't viewable by paypal).
But yeah I know about some debit cards that don't require a SSN but they are expensive, like $70 it seems like just to get started.. anyways, just my thoughts as I've been thinking a lot about this lately.
