From my understanding, all you need to do is contact the webmaster/company directly via email/phone. They will need you to prove your identity, and they will remove it. Some websites charge a fee to get it removed, either way, its cheaper to pay the website directly then to pay a 3rd party. Hope this helps.

After reading the article a second time, it struck me just how much of a dumbass Philip Cabibi(the guy who paid the $400) is. He is very concerned about his mugshot being online so he pays Removeslander to have it taken down. OK, I understand so far, but then he goes on and does an interview with an internationally published magazine WIRED that is all over Google SERPS and tells the world what he did! Dude, if you didn't want everyone to know and it was worth $400 to get it removed from one website, why did you then announce to the whole world why you got listed in the first place?

note for anyone interested.
heres how to get it removed cheap. their system works if the person is found innocent etc. 20 bucks gets it removed from google + the site. they claim they are removing the paid removal soon so
add the userid after =
removal system : https://www.arrests.org/remove/?id=
paid removal : http://www.arrests.org/remove.php?id=

enjoy

I would have done the same thing. There's kids on those sites. Dude had a misdemeanor DUI... Really not that serious. maybe that's enough to scare you into keeping silent, but I guess some people aspire to be more than a pizza delivery boy. Besides, I just googled him..... looks like he's doing a good job of suppressing the mugshot sites with his own sites and pictures of kitty cats and cool cars lol.

Well... Looks like google's new algorithm I conjunction with their merchant account provider's solved the problem.

good luck with the threat letters. they're hosted on PRQ which was founded by the same founders of thepiratebay.

It doesnt matter where they are hosted - you can get enough people for a public law suit, and sue their supply chain.

lol yes it matters where its hosted. its not hosted in us jurisdiction. with your logic thepiratebay would have been shutdown with a "public *global* lawsuit" already.

your impression of the internet is also flawed, its a decentralized network. infinite supply to mend the chain.

What has it to do with the Internet and the decentralization? Look at the bigger picture, someone from within the system supplies the site with information about prisoners. Someone on the other end receives money. These people can be sued.

You dont need to pay him!

as It said ,

1- Make a website and expose owner information there!

2- There would be hundreds of criminal that are angry that their pictures are online on his website...

3- Simply send website URL to owner email address and wait for his generous offer to buy off your website

4- Go to step 1

Send a lawyers letter worded with the intent to take legal action which WILL result in them paying out over it!
