I've been trying to figure out a way to have my mug shot taken off florida.arrests.org, preferably a bh way. I found a company that will do it for $400 but there has to be a better way. Anyone have any ideas?

Send them a letter that if they do not comply you will sue them for damages. Do not make it an email, send a paper mail.

Won't be able to remove it unless you get into their files.. and OP don't attempt to kill them like a member suggested ;).

You can try sending a CAD letter to their hosting company and also to the owner of the site. If they are a government affiliated site, slim to no chance.

I suggest checking your local laws , or asking a local lawyer for advice on the laws. Some lawyers will speak brifly with you over the phone for free, or take the 80-120$ first consultation fee.

Pay the 400 or get a lawyer try to remove it.

The company that does it for $400 most likely works with the company that posts the picture. If it's important for you to have it removed, cough up the money to their extortion racket.

I saw a similar scheme with mugshots posted on BustedMugShots offering a removal service on Removemymugshot for about $500. They were the same company.

They ought to have their own mugshots up for that scam!

Damn it, i better make sure i'm not on there...

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I particularly like BlazingChron's idea but as another member mentions, I'm not looking for another mug shot put up.

DrWolf, your exactly right...it's a total scheme by the same company.

I've done some research on this and the owner is Rob Wiggen, an ex con who started doing this. He has been sent many hate emails and snail mail letters. There is a contact button on their site but it's conveniently bad link and doesn't work. Unfortunately it's all legal because it's public knowledge...looks like I'll probably end up having to pay these scum bags.

Quite a coincidence, I saw a guy I do work with on florida mugshots just the other day. I usually google all the people I work with remotely, and the first page of google is just full of this junk. All because of a DWI from 4 years ago.

geez..scammers everywhere you go..are those websites even allowed to use those public mugshots like that??

DDOS their server... I didn't say that....!!!

wow this dude is f**ked up!!

Scour the net for fraud reports on the guy who wants $400 unless you personally
know and trust him. That's a lot of coin but not enough to make suing him worthwhile if he burns ya. If he's a scammer you'll find out with Google.

Sweet! What are their BHW usernames? Great method.

Set-up a website "w w w .pleasedontkillrobwiggin. c o m", and then publically post rob wiggins:

Full name, w/ copy of his birth certificant
Driver's license number
current address
cell phone number
names, address, phone numbers and other identifying information of his family member including:
parents, siblings, wife, wife's family, friends, extended family members, women he's dated in the past, women that have claimed he has abused them in some way, the names of the people he was incarcerated with and their identifying information, etc...

Post big color pictures, Google maps of his current address, with pictures of his house, his children, their schools, what vehicle(s) he's driving, with license plate numbers, the address of his favorite bar, favorite restaurant, the fat cow he's cheating on his wife with and all of her information, etc...

Use mass emails and offer unreal (and false) amounts of reward money to continue to gather more information. The site may get taken down, so be ready to move it around under other names and (obviously) foreign hosting. And let him know that all he has to do to make you go away is sign over his website to you. Oh, and $10,000 in cash, too.
