Hi,

For Wordpress sites, there are hundreds of plugins which identify errors and highlight suggestions for SEO like Yoast SEO plugin.

But my question is " what are the best ways to do SEO on a plain HTML site?"

I already have information related to meta tags, connect the site to google console and analytics, images, and content optimization so does anyone experienced provide some good tutorials or suggestions on doing SEO on a non-Wordpress site?

Thanks

Add Descriptions to Images. Add Titles to links.

Since you have experience with Yoast SEO you have seen how to optimize contents and post titles for good SEO so take that into consideration and apply them in your plain HTML site. I assume u already knew this. But I don't think there is anything special in WP Plugins SEO if you have good content, very low bounce rate and decent traffic your site will definitely rank higher. There is no secrete combo to it.

WP plugins just provide the option to automate on-page SEO. For html you just need to do all of that manually. Optimize content, title tags, meta, description, image tags, interlinking, sitemap etc.

Link building in general is for any site you wanna do SEO and rank it on search engines. It doesn't apply to blogs and commercial sites only.

Yes, I did all these things manually and all I count these techniques in an on-page category as I already mentioned it. Any other useful techniques for websites?
Are bounce rate and decent amount traffic equally important for personal websites too same as blogging?

I checked your website, it looks nice. But in regards of SEO (ranking and organic traffic)... I think this field is very competitive and for ranking well you either need much more content about the topic (active blogging), or a strong backlink profile. With such personal website I think social media (facebook) would be a good place to get traffic: create fb business page, invite friends to like it, add some post / article from your site or even homepage of the site and ask friends to share it, and if you have some budget then boost post or do fb paid ads where you can target your audience just like you need. You can also check freelance sites to offer your services and get "traffic".

Thanks a lot for suggestions actually I'm in the process of learning SEO and doing SEO to my site as the first impression is my site for clients.
And completely agree with you the field is very competitive that's why I decided to do SEO on my site. As you checked my site did you saw any flaw regarding SEO?

I didn't go that deep analyzing, but if you want to make sure all the tags and codes are there for SEO, you can run your site through here: seositecheckup.com
Some of the things there may be taken with a grain of salt, but it'll give good overview. Still I think that you either need more content (blog) or strong backlink profile / user engagement (traffic elsewhere), for search engines to pick it up and rank among top results. It's a competitive niche.

I'm working on strong backlinks and regarding to content, I'm not a technical content writer to do blogging.
Google is indexed my site on the first page if the keyword is my name. But I'm trying that search result appears the site on the first link as well. :)
