I sell art, etsy shows up on top for a lot of my keywords. But since my niche is very specific, the pages that etsy ranks with are not really targeted. Eg. My keyword is 'blue nike shoes', the etsy page will be etsy.com/?search=nike. The exact keyword isn't anywhere on the page, the products shown are not related.Amazon can also be found in the top 10 often, but same story here. Page that ranks is a search results page with not a single mention of the exact keyword and the products don't match. The entire top 10 has pretty much zero backlinks, but they all are high authority domains.
This is an example of a >5000 searches per month keyword:

How hard is it to outrank them?

If it's buy intention keyword such as "best xx" , "xx review", it's possible to outrank the Amazon, but if it's generic keywords/ brand keywords, it's VERY hard to outrank them

I sell niche specific art, so most of these keywords are : "niche keyword" + canvas art/artwork/art for livingroom/wall art.

Amazon and etsy, these sites are really hard to outrank, when you are competing with them as ecommerce. Only one solution, make your site authority in that specific niche and use silo. You need to buy some really strong links from relevant art and painting related sites.
