Hello everyone,

I found a niche I want to start blogging about and was thinking of ways how to monetize the website, once I've got traffic.

The only ways I could think of is adsense, as there is no particular product I could sell or advertise, or maybe an app (but those are hella expensive to develop).

Could you guys give me ideas about monetizing websites? What options are out there?

Thanks in advance! :)

There are other sites instead of adsense like infolinks. If you have a site with strong traffic you can post a gig on fiverr for example and offer to put a guest post with their link in it.

Once you get a strong site you can use it as a basis for linking other sites you own like e-commerce sites

Affiliate offers are a great way to earn some extra $$$ with your blog.
There are plenty to choose from..

Amazon Associates
Clickbank
OfferVault

Depends on what your blog's about

Yeah, that's the thing. There is no actual product/product category I can link it to. So should I rather leave it, if adsense is the only revenue source?

Is it something you've worked on for a long time? If yes, I would still try to come up with something. There are so many affiliate options out there..
If no, then perhaps leaving it would make more sense. You can always start something new

Make sure to capture emails and since we don't know the niche suggesting a monetization method would be hard.

What you could do is try to push some digital products to them like head to offervault and look for some products close to that niche and pitch that to the email subscribers. Who know it might work and it's not hell of a work.

Use content locker + cpa on your best posts if the pages are getting nice traffic.

if you have good traffic you can set up squeeze page, grab emails, you can use adsense or CPA affiliate links or even amazon affiliate link

I feel like we have this discussion every few days on here lol there are tons of alternatives cpm wise then Adsense which is solely click based

If you want to take the affiliate route then you want to look at what products or services are related to the blog niche, create a mind map / spider diagram and fill in the boxes.

Then look at how you can target these with

- Affiliate offers
- Your own services
- Other peoples services
- Your own products
- Advertising

Most niches can be monetized but some are a lot more difficult than others. Celebrity gossip blogs for example, pretty much the only way to make revenue is from ad networks.

It's not just about an Adsense alternative. My question was about general ideas/ways to monetize a website. I know there are plenty of different ways but I just wanted to here it from you guys. Could have been possible that I didn't think of something partifcular.

Thanks for your replies though. All of you guys! :)

There are a lot of sites where people offer good money for an affiliate program, the main thing is to think it over correctly

If you got decent traffic and you don't want to monetize it... just sell it. There will be many who will buy your website if it has decent traffic on it.

You can try to monetize your site by Push Notifications. This is a good additional way to earn some money.

I did not even know that there is monetization through push notifications

Fiverr is a scam company based in Israel. I have my own experience with it. They will even suspend your account if you as a seller/buyer share any contact info such as emails in the order conversation page. Not just that,
They have even suspended top sellers accounts. Just type in Google search or youtube "fiverr fraud". You cannot do anything against it since it's in Israel and the America is run by Israel. So no hope to do anything against them even if you have proofs.

Never use this site.

you not yet start the blogging but worrying about demonetization. take the first step first mate.
