In my opinion, start with valuable content marketing and networking, then upsell relevant services/products to built relationships. Be aware of that direct email selling can feel like a scam so, focus on building trust and providing value before pitching.

I think you need to start with products or services before you have the linkedin contacts. Because if you don't even know what you want to sell to them, then why do you even want to talk to them.

I don't see how they would know. If you start an email campaign, the recipients don't know where you got the email from in the first place!
