How to market a band?

It depends on the budget and how good the band is. Anything under $10k monthly on budget won't get you any decent returns or followbase (a profitable one).

This budget would need to be spent on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google Search and Network visitors. No you don't bot to the top like some idiots might think you can do, you simply bot to increase engagements and social authority aspects of your existing fanbase. You'd be wise to research into what record companies (the big boys) ctually do in order to drive up sales and fans entirely black hat with big money).

thanks that's actually some good advice. I'ts a electronic dance punk band, we're established in our home town. we've toured canada and we already have a strong social media following. I'm very curious how i could monetize it, and create a stronger following.

You must engage with the real business entity.

Like steve vai, bobby satriani and joe satriani

Engage with real business entities yes, Advertising your bad only comes after you are known, so i must suggest creating a big fan base and getting investors to sign up for advertising your content,

I echo all the thoughts here. Increase the noise level offline, but have online properties to keep the engagement going.

Is myspace still big on bands? I have not been on there forever, but I know a lot of musicians use it or used to.
