I've seen large pages like LadBible but also smaller wannabe pages use an array of video content, and I'm wondering how they effectively manage copyright issues.

- Do they have direct agreements with content creators or agencies? Do they primarily rely on fair use policies, do they purchase licenses from content licensing companies or
they just manage the problems as they come?
- How does facebook copyright filters work?
- If I "borrow" videos from YT are there any problems? Yes I know about creative commons, but the succesful videos are not under this category.
- I know that legal actions can be taken against the page, but does this happen? Is it a risk to consider?

So yeah, I would like to get a glimpse, if possible, of what is the bussiness model of a big/small page that shares content, LadBible, SupercarBlondie or whatever.

Some pages may choose to address copyright problems as they come. They might remove infringing content upon receiving copyright claims or requests from content owners, minimizing the risk of legal consequences.

I have seen a lot of videos by many pages that they always give credit to the original creator when using their content. They mention their name in the corner or give credit at the end of the video. I think it is the best way to post other's content in order t get away with copywriting.

It does not necessarily guarantee that you will get away with copyright infringement. Seeking consent is different from showing negligence

Don't use full video content? Clip maybe. Like those on sports highlights/commentary. Give credit to the video owner. If you received copyright claim then delete the video. FB is strict also on audio/music.

yeah, and fb sounds library so bored, when uploading reels it's ok to choose from trending music but it is a problem when you upload a video.

is there any way to know if this sound will be removed on facebook before publish ?

If I don't give credit to the video owner, does it make any difference?

From a legal standpoint this does not matter,as long as you don`t have written consent from the author then it is copyright infringement.

are you trying to use the content, or pass it off as your own ?
I`m trying to use it.

The sports highlights/commentary falls under the "fair use" law(which by the way is very misunderstood by the general public) and it`s not what I`m looking for as a recipe. But yes, the part about deleting the content after the claim seems reasonable.

The question is, how is facebook reacting to copyright claims? For example, YT can shut down your channel after 3 strikes, but what about facebook? Could it be sustainable to "solve" claims as they come? I`m asking this because I`m interested to to grow the page long term.

Managing copyright issues on Facebook can be a challenge, but there are several ways to address them. First, ensure that you have the right to use any content you post on your page. This means obtaining permission from the original creator, using public domain or Creative Commons licensed content, or creating your own original content. If you receive a copyright infringement notice, take it seriously and remove the content immediately. If you believe the claim is invalid, you can file a counter-notice. However, it's important to carefully review the notice and consult with legal counsel before taking any action.
Additionally, Facebook has tools available to help prevent copyright infringement, such as the Rights Manager tool. This tool allows content owners to upload their content and monitor for unauthorized use or infringement.Overall, it's important to respect the intellectual property rights of others and take proactive steps to ensure that you are not infringing on those rights. By following these guidelines and utilizing available tools, you can manage copyright issues on Facebook effectively.

As far as I know, SupercarBlondie works with car brands and related companies to create sponsored content. This includes vehicle reviews, product promotions and special events. SupercarBlondie receives money from brands for promoting and recommending their products.
