Writing articles for income on textbroker, iwriter and the like is very tedious work, so I don't do it much anymore.
When I was doing this, I would just google the title or main keywords, sometimes I would use a modifier like "inurl:article"
I would look through the list of requests, and search this way until I find an article that is basically already written according to the clients specifications, or perhaps copy/paste bits and pieces until I have roughly the correct word count, then just re-write it line by line into a coherent and unique article. I have found I can write on topics I know nothing about and still make the clients happy using this method.
Many people use dragon naturally speaking (speech to text software) to work faster than you can typing it out. I have never messed with that, but I have heard you can work much faster with this software, even if you are a very fast typist, just takes some practice to get up to speed.
