For a new site, are you focusing more on building topical coverage first or optimizing a few core pages in depth?

Also, in your experience, does early traffic growth usually come from long-tail queries, or have you seen broader keywords move as well with purely white-hat efforts?

In my opinion, starting with white hat SEO is the right approach.
But still it takes time to see results.

Focus on useful content, proper SEO, and quality backlinks.
Stay consistent and your traffic will grow over time.
 
I think starting with simple, helpful content around low-competition keywords works best in the beginning. From what I’ve seen, consistency and basic on-page SEO can slowly build traffic without any risk.

From my experience the biggest boost in organic traffic comes from targeting low competition keywords and creating content that actually solves a problem.then I focus on improving existing pages internal linking and getting a few relevant backlinks instead of chasing quick wins.....
