How to Identify fake domain page rank

do you mean that:
1. they redirected their site to a high pagerank site
2. google update their page rank
3. --> they cancel their redirect\
4. they add content and backlinks to make it looks legit.

Base on this, is it closed to impossible to check a pagerank? many mentioned that analyzing the backlinks, how exactly to do it? do you mind sharing?

For analyzing backlinks, how do you know that those backlinks that bring a legit authority sites?

On Majestic SEO you can see hit-and-run 301's easily. It shows up as a large list of 301's and then Majestic shows a "deleted" icon.

If Majestic can do this, Google is probably 2 or 3 steps ahead on this technique.

sorry, what do you mean? are you saying that majesticSEO can track the time they cancel the 301 redirect? so base on this we can ensure that the PR is legit?

that was a nice piece of information you provided . But the bad news is that i don't have any subscription to Majestic SEO (i assume that because when i check Majestice, it require monthly subscription for non-owner of the sites). is there any other way to track it? i have subscribed to Moz, is there anyway to check that from Moz?

Disclaimer I am not at all affiliated with Majestic nor am I selling their product....I just happen to use it for this.

The free version of Majestic does show enough links for you to see if a domain is doing something sneaky. It shows you around 10 domains, on the right hand column it says when the link was found, when it was changed and when it was removed, and on the column left of that it shows you the current status. So for hit and run domains you'll see

DELETED(301 Redirect) and on the last column (yesterday / yesterday / today) - so it's a 301 put yesterday, deleted today. Hit n run.

Do you want this any more spoon fed or what? You want some drinks and cocktails to go with that? Lobster? Champagne?

The above is one great way to burst fake PR sites.

Secondly, you need a paid version of ahrefs and spyglass to thoroughly analyze the backlinks
pointing to this sites.

PR4+ must surely have a bunch of top quality links pointing to it, if you can't find any, stay away.

By using your instruction, i have successfully detected some fake domain PR!! i am so thankful, you save me tons of money . sorry for the spoonfeed thingys though.
