How to grow custom hashtags?

Hi guys,

I have a custom hashtag for my shoutout page which is growing steadily, but really slowly..

My idea is that if a lot of people use my hashtag, more “brand” will be known by more people and of course the publicity will be bigger. A good example for this is #wakeupandmakeup / @wakeupandmakeup .

Unfortunately most users only use hashtags that are really popular, so it is pretty hard for new hashtags to grow bigger..

I have been trying to find a way to grow the hashtag but no luck.. Maybe commenting the hashtag with a bot?

Do you guys have experience with this?

Let them know they have a chance to get featured, both in stories or your page. Promote it in all your posts. If you do shout for shout, promote it on your posts that appear on other pages.

Tell your users that you're going to feature them if they use your hashtags. My hashtag has now almost 14k posts under it
