Hi there BHW Fam,
So one of my friend who was an old member of Black Hat World just got banned from it recently he had an accont since 2007 or so and he recently restarted after taking an brake from it but due to unpredictable surcemtances he got banned form the forum due to selling via PM, I belive that this was his fault but he was very much desperate to get it and even get one JR membership to restart selling here.

So what would u advice for him, and how could he get unbanned.

Let me know your thoughts and suggestions down below.

Our thoughts and suggestions are that unless you would like to join your 'friend' in being banned that you should probably not post any more really dumb threads like this.

Are you giving that answer as a friend or the person who got banned?
Fair point, I get how it looks. I was asking on behalf of him but I’ll just leave it at that and pass on the advice about contacting support. Thanks for clearing it up.

It looks bad for several reasons.

One being you also were selling via DM, not on their volume as I stopped counting their sales DMs at 40 times in the past few weeks.

Fair enough, I get it. I don’t want to risk making the same mistake myself. Do you have any advice on how I can avoid problems here going forward? Also, if I decided to upgrade to Jr. VIP at some point, would that allow me to sell properly through the right channels?

If you upgrade that would certainly allow you to sell properly.

Easiest way to avoid issues is to not promote outside of the proper channels.

We get it, people make mistakes, and that doesn't follow you for the rest of your Blackhat World life and one or two is not major.

Your friend though, knowing the rules for years, is not going to be allowed back after we saw their DMs as that was egregious.

Understood. Just for clarification — he told me that when he first started years ago, he also used that method to get some initial orders, and once he had enough, he bought the Jr. VIP membership. In our case, we were planning to do the same — he had just made enough to get the subscription, and we were actually going to upgrade together today.

You cannot buy Jr Vip as you do not have the requisite posts yet, he can't upgrade because he was stealing from the forum owner for months.

I understand, and I completely accept that he made a serious mistake and broke the rules. I only wanted to say that this ban will affect him greatly in his career, as he is currently just managing to make ends meet. I know it’s a lot to ask, but if there is any possible way to reconsider his case with some strict warning or limited chance, it would mean a lot.

Thank you for taking the time to explain things clearly — I respect the rules of the forum and won’t push further if this is final.

First of all, they have to contact support.

Then support will ask the other staff members what they think.

You friend was stealing for months from the owner, what possibility do you think of them getting unbanned?

I understand your point, and I respect the rules of the forum. From what I know, he had only restarted in mid-July, so it may not have been going on for months, though I can see from your side how it looks. Every person makes mistakes, but if someone is willing to take responsibility and even pay properly to support the forum, I feel there should be some room for reconsideration — especially given the years he has been part of this community and the value he’s tried to bring.

That said, I do respect whatever final decision the staff takes.

Don't think so, my friend got banned just today
Your friend stole from my friend.

I initially gave them a warning but after some investigation, I saw they walked into his store, took things off his shelves, walked out without paying, no less than 40 times.

You've done the same thing as well, just not on that level.

Go ahead and defend that person that stole from my friend all you want, it shows your character.
