How to get traffic from facebook groups?

Hello BHW,

I see some people here talk about getting traffic from Facebook groups up to 1000 click, but when i try to share a link i fell i'm not welcome to do so in most groups, i feel that they don't like people to share link in groups.

So, what information or tricks that i need to know to be successful in getting traffic from groups ?

Facebook is very strict about sharing links nowadays, my accounts have been suspended for weeks and also shadow banned for do it. Maybe the person you saw talking about 1000 clicks are referring to there own facebook groups. Creating your own Facebook group and growing it is a great way to get traffic.

You really have to warm the group up as well you cant walk in post and leave. I spend two to three weeks warming groups up acting and interacting and posting other content.

It's also not really a buyer's market so you probably dont want to post to a sales page but content.

The best group though is your own group.

depends on the niche and the groups man, some are really tight and unless you really interact with they they won't let you post anything, other will allow this more freely.. my suggestion is to spend more time on finding the right groups to do this on, it's the most important step.

I did the opposite for 1 year. I spammed groups to death with an affiliate link. Third world countries.

Bad news: FB Account Banned after 2 years. I don't have what to scroll when I go to poop.
Good news: I stopped wasting my time with Facebook unless it's related to my business. To date I got over 10,000$ affiliate revshare income (I still get 10% from what they purchase on the site) and I got like 300 people who ACTIVELY buy...

Facebook is very crazy if it came down to sharing links. They literally get no reach and are mostly useless when posting links. Most of the time they get the domain itself blocked from posting content on facebook. I had one of my domains marked as a spam in order to drive traffic from facebook.

I do see some traffic coming from the links posted in my owned groups. They stopped sending traffic after they introduced their own audience network for publishers i.e its own instant articles.

I would suggest building traffic outside facebook and then get your site listed for instant articles on facebook.

In your post tell them to type"I'm interested"
Then message the people who typed "I'm interested" .

You gotta provide some sort of value in the group and have people message you in private messages. Its a way to build credibility and prove that you aren't a spammer.

I’m a moderator in a few groups and I’m obviously a member of many others.

The admin/mods of the groups will truly determine any success to dropping links.

Many mods don’t allow “spam” in the group and if it appears to be spam, they will delete it they see it or when a member of the group clicks “report post”. You must keep in mind, mods want useful activity in the group and members don’t want to see your spam. You’re not adding value.

The one 36K group that I moderate requires approval before any post goes live. We click approve, decline, or ban member. Some days there are dozens that we block.

Some groups are not well moderated and either things slip through or become a spam-fest. Groups flooded with spam often don’t get great engagement or click through because members can either unfollow or leave the group. We all have enough ads on our feeds, we don’t need it in our groups as well.

Starting your own group gives you control and allows you to monetize it. Many of the groups I’m in are monetized by: their own affiliate links, selling products directly, paid membership to a private/closed group, or selling the ability to post ads.

I’m sure others touched on this, but your links need to be relevant and add value to the members.

If someone post “what are the best brake pads for my Honda?” And you’re and auto parts seller/affiliate, you can try and drop a link saying “this site has some great brake pads for Honda. SAVE20 is a coupon code that I found for 20% off and free shipping. Good luck! www.superbrakepads.com

That will stick better than just joining a group and dropping links.

Be methodical, be relevant, and be useful.

If you can gain traction in a group, reach out to the admin and see if there is an opportunity to advertise/sponsor the group for a fee. Sometimes they want freebies for gifts/giveaways for the members.

We’ve had some big manufacturers give us high dollar items simply for giveaways for members. Those companies don’t even advertise on the group at all. Admins love money or gifts for their members.

Setting up your own pages could be more sustainabe. Facebook's spamming potential has nearly vanquished. Attempting to join private groups may help though. As they aren't spammed to death just as public ones.
