How to get domain name to first position?

Hello there BHW members,
I want to know my client domain is indus-valley.com, But the issue is that they are loosing the customers who are searching for them with their domain name (indus valley). in search results all the it comes up with indus valley civilization.
We have a very good ranking and traffic for particular keywords but we are loosing the customers who are searching for us for with the keyword (indus valley). Is there any way to fix this?

how can i beat indus valley civilization links?

Analyse your competitor's site SEO and find what you did wrong. Then take steps to recover your customer and enlarge your site traffic. Hope this helps you.
 
when you want to quick result in less time then only one option is left. Find competitor backlinks and work on that for your website. That surely help you. And a great and genuine content is king and never replaced strategy to get rank.

We are ranking on good keywords, we have a very great content thats not my issue. My issue is Brand name whenever someone search us with our brand name google gives results for indus valley civilization instead o us. I just want to know is there any way to beat indus valley civilization as this is a very big thing & I dont think i can beat this.
 
Make wikipedia article about your clients brand with links to site and you will at least have that article on first page.
 
1. First and basic is choose the catchy domain with top ranking keyword.
2. Perform the SEO
3. Add the keywords - You should use the keywords on your website.
4. Add the customer reviews on site.
5. Use the digital marketing
6. Perform back-linking
7. Perform guest posting
8. Perform the link building
9. Unique and quality content - Your website should have the unique contents with the quality information in it.
10. Representation and Language - You should use the graphical representation for website and it should be very impressive so visitors will get easily attract towards it.

Here are some of the Off page SEO techniques which I am using -

1. Social media marketing
2. Social bookmarking
3. Forum and blog submission
4. Article submisison
5. Image and video submission
 
Your ranking is good for which keywords? Whether u want to rank good for indus valley or not? Or is it already ranking Good?

You will need to do competitor analysis to beat the them for sure.

i don't think you can beat other websites for this short tail 2 words keyword, you should tell your client to rank for related keywords to indus valley and then when your client website will rank on those keywords on 1st page of google they will get al ot of visitors from all related keywords to indus valley. May be you know that indus valley is his own history and you will find wikipedia post on 1st number and 1st page and you should check authority of wikipedia website before going deep into this anymore. that's my suggestion now you can agree or not it's totally up to you.
 
I noticed that your kw silo is not clearly defined. Build each page with 1-2 core keywords, and 3 LSI keywords. Your homepage has limited content and if you want to rank for a keyword it should be integrated into the content... so you will need more.

Look at competitor link profile and build your own. Do guest blogging, share on relevant groups, etc. This will take time to register, but keep pressing in on it and coordinate your on-page SEO with your off-page (link exact match or brand anchor text depending on the corresponding page). Also, focus on branding- and optimize all the images on yoru site with alt text based on the keyword silo of that page.
 
Always choose a unique brand name for your domain so it ranks 1st without much effort. Otherwise, you will have to do the same SEO as you do for other keywords and Indus Valley doesnt seem unique to your business.

Get social profiles and submit on local directories using your brand name to gain better relevancy.
 
Well, in the age of semantic search, you need to make sure that your page is much more relevant to the keyword you target rather than the competitor's page. Nowadays, you can rank in Google for a keyword that's not even mentioned on your page.
So, i'd advise to perform thorough content analysis of your competitor's page using TF-IDF tool in website auditor, for example. It will give you a good idea on how to cover a topic holistically and at the end, to improve relevance and rankings.
 
Relevancy and better quality backlinks. Brand name is also a keyword so all the usual rules apply.
 
May be it is google dance.Analyse your competitor sites and collect the backlink details and then start to build the strong backlink for the targeted keywords.

Their brand name is strong than you so you need to work on your domain name. You can write the press release, wiki article, guest posting, link building on your domain keyword etc.
