How to get ChatGPT to write long articles?

I'm currently testing ChatGPT-4 for blogging, but I'm having trouble getting it to write articles with more than 1000 words.

I explicitly ask it to write 1000 words and it pumps out 500 words.

Any way to get around that?
Maybe you can write some python code to call gpt4 api, it seems more effective.

I divide my article into several H2. And each H2 is written as a separate article, none of which are related to each other

First check the settings whether you have set the word limit to 500 or if the topic is too complex to handle for the AI to handle.

You can't write "long articles" unless you split your request into different sections. Example:

Instead of write a 1000 word about the PS5, you tell it:

- Write an introduction about PS5

It writes it. Then you ask:

- Write 2 paragraphs about the history of the PS5.

It writes it. Then you ask:

- Write 2 paragraphs about the development of the PS5.

Etc, etc, etc. You first decide the topics of your text and then ask it to write one at a time.

Another method is to ask it to write a very long article, it writes maybe a 500/600 word article, then you take one or two paragraphs of that article and ask it to make them longer. Then you add it to the original text.

The simple method , split your prompt

Write description
Write table of content
Write 100-150 words about first line of table of content .

And so on

You will get 1500-2000 words ..

The article should take 1-3 minutes from ur time ..

Dont do the easy one prompt and wait it generate full article more than 1000 words
non of these AI; copilot, gemini, chatgpt can wriote me an 800 words long article what I get is 350-400 words what is happen today ?

i gave now this prompt: please write me an informative article abot (keyword)
with description of 200 words
why is that important about 200 words
body text about 400 words

what I get? a short article with 420 words...what a crap:Do thes eAI now have more limitations on their free versions or not understand these prompts ?

why I use this prompt; write an an description of this (keyword) with 200 words, I get 100 words....

Just command for 3000 words or 5000 words to write. Or, make a outline first then command for each topic.

Then I tried it in gemini rewrite the home page text of a website this was my prompt;

rewrite the homepage text of site https://domain.com , rewrite an informative, engaging article with 800 words.
Gemini answer; "I'm not programmed to to this task" .
What's wrong with these AI's ?

Do these elitist making their AI mor ecomplicated so that when you not have the exact complicated prompt you will get shit? Or they remodeling their AI so only journalists and media news sites can using it....?
Or do I have my conspiracy pink glass on now ?

Happy Saturday !

yep bard-gemini hast the same crap of capped limits words on one response , type in to write 1500 words you will get 50% of the words when you are lucky. There must be a reason behind this ?
All AI's chatgpt, copilot, gemini has this word limitation capped on one response crap on today.

But on the other side blend off all whistle and bells, with a good prompt in gemini like to write as an author, flows, variations....the output is really good it reads like an engaging story from Mc Connaughey. Yep get out of the bed and get your shit done in the morning, stop faping!

I think copilot is good at these tasks too write like an natural human author.
A good skill is necessary in prompts engineering to get what you want from these AI maybe that's only available in a pro subscription plan? Does translation works well with these AI, translate from another language in english then write a goodstory about it ?
Writing like Dan Pena as example would give you harsh content output I guess.....

You can explain the bot for your exact requirements to satisfy your needs.

It will become a more complex task to get high quality output with good deep information from chatgpt or any other AI writer. Can these AI's writting quality content like as example author Naomi Klein ?

Happy Monday alright ya'all !

This is pretty easy a fix. I ask for an article using a trained GPT4 bot, Jasper and/or Perplexity. Then what is given I take each section/paragraph and either tell it to rewrite for clarity/increase paragraph count or focus on additional keyword term. A 1,000 word article gets turned into a 3,000 word article very quickly and easily.

Problem with your method is, when you want to build a long form content hub. Example gpt4 spits out 8 outlines (subtopics) for a parent topic. You want long form content which means each subtopic should have 2500-3k words right? So the problem is make the prompt for each of these 8 outlines separate, you need a few hours with a modern AI to finish you parent topic hub, because it's very frustrating time consuming.

With that in mind a modern AI should be able to finish his task with one single prompt for all these 8 outlines, also writing all the subtopic articles in one task isn't it? Good luck doing that with each outline prompt separate......

I tried a smaller one single prompt with 3 outlines in gpt4 and it gave sme good results each subtopic had long form content and the response sounds written like human with a good natural flow, yep may be copilot AI writes in similar "human" style but adds more hallucination to the content, gpt4 not. And free copilot is a modular based AI so it will always split your prompts, copilot will never write 4 or 8 outlines each with 2500 words in one task, it's not possible.

I was impressed with the output from gpt4.

You can split your content into multiple prompts which return 150 words at least then piece everything together.

Copy this prompt ->
write a news article on "[Your main Keyword]" for {Your Website} should look like written by intermediate level writer with simple English vocabulary. Write smaller sentences to increase readability. Be as in detail as possible in minimum 750 words. Make sure provide, Title and meta description.

I suggest to go with human writers and follow google guidelines for blogging.
