How to get a premium font for free?

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to ask, if it is somehow possible to download and use premium fonts without purchasing them. What exactly would be the legal consequences if for example used on a public website?

I was for example looking at fonts and saw this one: Helvetica Now Font

Now I am wondering if there is a way to use this without having to buy it.

Technically you could easily grab the font file from a website that displays it - eg that one is at:
https://www.monotype.com/profiles/c...ce/fonts/Fonts/HelveticaNowMTTextW04-Rg.woff2
However it's breaking copyright and the copyright-holder can come after you and sue you - much like using unlicensed stock photo imagery.
