How to follow up a winner article? (+ tips)

Hey guys!

Its been 2-3 months since I started blogging thanks to this forum and the tips and journeys you guys provide. Super helpful.

Now, I've got a question (as I'm a newb on the blogging space).

But first, I want to give you some info about this "winner article". So in first place, the other articles are not really ranking for now, just getting some clicks here and there, but nothing special. They all have between 30-40 clicks average. But this "winner article" has almost 700 clicks and ranks 2-5 for almost every keyword.

Question: How do I follow up this article so the rest perform as well as this one? Or, at least, rank up higher?

Tips of how this article ranked like that (maybe some of this are obvious, but want to gie you my 2cents anyway)

+ The article name is actually a question every single user is looking for in this niche.

+ Keywords: Got similar variants of the same question (medium-long keywords) and on some keywords added the date - 2019.

+ Number of words: 1300, and includes several images explaining what the text is describing.

+ Snippet: I added an adjective to the question; "how to... easily".

I don't really figured out how this one performed that good, but I'm trying to.
As side note, I also published this article on a Facebook group (niche group) and got some clicks. Also used Quora, as it is a question, and looked for that one so I could answer the users asking for that and putting a link in there (but got few clicks on this one).

I would try following the same formula as with your winner article. Of course, your content needs to be premium quality and you should promote it as much as possible. Also, I would write an article that is related to the winner article. That way, you can add a backlink from the winner article and use its popularity to gain traffic for the new one.

Yeah, thats what I thought.. create a new one and backlink it to the winner one. This way the new one will rank better right?

I would do a keyword analysis of your winning article and come up with several articles that are topically related

I would follow the same format and include several sub-discussions

The key is to RUN SEVERAL VARIATIONS and see which are WINNERS in their own right and repeat the process until EVERY article you produce is a WINNER

This won't happen overnight but is definitely worth doing

How many post you have in total?
What day did you post this winning article?
What make it different than the rest of your post?

Another twist. You can pick several, maybe 2, articles already written and modify them to be as similar to the successful article as possible. And promote them the same.

Than keep an eye on them to see how much of an improvement they gain in traffic, number of keywords they rank for....

You can even make a small case study of it, if that is something you would care about. I would definetly follow that one.

Come to think of it, I will try that approach on my website also.

Another idea. Create several new articles with same format that topically support winner article. And them link from new articles to the winner article making it even more powerful.

If the winner article ranks even better, which is the idea, you would get even more traffic from the winner article.

Another tip:

Since human memory is fickle, write down, in great detail everything you remember about how you created that article. Then reference it in the future to make sure future articles follow the same process.
