A quick and easy one to try is SEO Site Checkup's sitemap tool – just put your URL in and let them see if they can find your sitemap.

This is an old tactic to easily acquire backlinks, that apparently the OP has revived.
The request seemed innocent enough, right? That's how he got those who posted backlinks to post them; he played on your desires to help.

You can create a sitemap yourself there are tools for this. One I like is Site Visualizer because it can be used from the windows/dos commandline so it can be easily integrated in a script.
You can crawl any website using a simple command.
It can upload the xml file to your website automatically via ftp, there are also many other useful options.
