How to develop a PR2 page into PR5 or 6

I am new to SEO and looking to learn PR building. Please comment with:-

1. How to increase the PR?
2. How long does it take?
3. How to retain the PR and prevent it from falling to lower PR's ?

PR is DEAD! It hasn't been updated from about an year ago, the site you say have PR 2 can either have PR 7 or even PR 0, never know.

PR is (was) just one way of measuring a websites power. If you're just looking to power up your website, a PBN is arguably the best way to do it.

If you simply want to boost PR, well you're out of luck bro.

Ok why do backlinks and magenet respect PR and moz pages. I've seen colleagues make a load by selling PR5,6,7 backlinks to these websites? If PR is dead let me know the new measure to rate a website? This will help me broaden my search.

I read recently Google penalized PBN's. Google reads PBN backlinks as 'thin spam content' with no real content. Has anyone had success with PBN's recently? The website Im working on is a 57K alexa ranking website, with 21K members and 2000 uniques a month. If I start a PBN will google's penality on PBN's affect this ranking and traffic?

Im not thinking of reselling any time now but maybe in the distant future.

how to increase the PR?
Rather than going back in time before the PR Update and making or buying high PR backlinks,You dont have any option.

The last PR value update was at 6-7 Dec 2013 and sometimes during Oct 2014, some google chump basically say that they wont ever update the PR value anymore; So when people saying PR is dead, what they mean is that its impossible to really know the PR value of a site anymore.. and bcs the real PR value wont be dsclosed to the public anymore, a new domain created after Dec 2013 will always b a PR n/a

What metrics will replace PR? Is MOZ equivalent of PR ?
