How to be on top on Google Places ?

Hello,

I have one question I am on Google places in keyword that is really competitive that has at least 6 pages of places so, I am on second page but, I would like to put my self on the top 5 positions, what are the best strategies to accomplish that?

Also what is the fastest way to add your listing on Google places? With out having to wait for Googles letter for pin number, is there another way to accomplish this?? Since I would like to make new listings on differents cities.

While the position your place page appears is also determined by a searcher's query (i.e. relevance and location), there are some basic things you can do to make sure you cover all the angles. Make sure your place pages are 100% filled out. Add as many images as you are allowed, add your target keywords to the profile, add phone numbers, addresses, other locations, everything. Also work on getting some citations for your place page.

I would suggest you to stick with your brand or company name and better to get citation more to rank higher...

Well, you could try to be unique to be a topper or could take service of software generation to increase traffic. But second one is not fully legalized.
 
Citations and reviews. Make sure the information is correct and accurate. Images, images and more images. YouTube videos. But, most important, your information MUST be accurate. Be consistent and don't overload with reviews (reviews must be from reputable customers). To be honest, there is no"Fastest Way" to get on or up in Google Places/Google+. Just be Consistent and Honest!

The best thing that has helped some of our clients get over the line (as also outlined in this Search Engine Journal article) is local links.

For example, we are in Australia and were getting a lot of internal links BUT when we started getting au links for our clients, the maps started shooting higher and higher. This shows Google that you are not held in high esteem just on the internet but also within your local or Country.
 
I've had some luck adding a kml file as well as adding images to the map itself not just your profile... It's not magical, but it does seem to make an impact.
 
Citations and reviews ( from third sites ) this is the best way to get on the top
- and the second question a bout the faster way you have the only option by Post card at the moment to add new listing so start to send the Post card because its take 1-2 weeks :)
 
Yep, citations is a must. Why mess around with postcards and paying for addresses though? There is a better way right Ori? :-)

I think you are right about this system. Because Google Plus is better than Google Place.
 
My Suggestion is to fill out all information.. get good positive reviews.. in website, put ur facebook and g+1 pages also.. get some social media signals.. and also post in related directory searches (local directory listing..) u can also buy reviews... also citation is must.. but upto me, putting all fields with social media pages and getting lots of reviews will really work..

Firstly, you need to make sure that you have all the important required information filled out on your page.

Then, reviews play a important role in the rankings as well. Ask your clients to do so and offer them incentives in return. Or you can purchase them directly from sellers out there.
 
One strategy is to use get more positive reviews: google will reward the businesses with higher rankings with most engaging customers. Also, connecting everything and point each other to the main site from other social media sites. Like facebook/instagram/youtube/etc to website.
