I keep hearing from mulitple sources that when a site passes a certain age... You can safely blast it with THOUSANDS of backlinks a day, and STILL magically manage to escape the dreaded sandbox... I wanna know WHEN that magic age is! =D

I SEO and consult on sites that get tens of thousands of links blasted per day, and some of them are less than a year old, but it's not just about time, it's about link velocity and consistency... and a little but of luck.

If you ramp up your activity steadily, sometimes a new site will react swiftly, but you can never tell which site this will be with. The key is sometimes to ride out the 'bounce' and keep pushing on and up, scaling all the time.

Of course, this can backfire, and there's no hard and fast rule, but I've seen it go both ways. That's why I'm a great believer in multiple sites and pages for every keyword.

Cover all your bases through multiple assets, and you're unlikely to lose in the long run.

I used a service on another site and it basically sent a shit load of links to my site. It was a 3 year old site with no links, and moved me to #5 for a 600k exact keyword. I was thinking of doing the opposite, as in doing a lesser blast, and lesser, like it's a new hot site, that went viral, and now cooling off. I have 9 sites like this.

I don't know if I should do this, or keep blasting?

jascoken: If I don't get you wrong, this implicitely means that you can safely run a bunch of quite different websites on 1 unique Adsense ID: sandboxed pages, others soon-to-be (by sake of reckless blasts) and sites 100% white hat (organically linked).

So, those black sheep can't do any harm to white ones, can they?

600k exact, with a single blast? Are you sure you ticked exact? No offence, but I find that a little hard to believe.

Yeah that got 905 of us when we started out..the old "didnt hit 'exact'" mistake.

Yes. I currently have that one, and
#4 for 165k exact site from not being ranked.
#13 for 165k exact site from #227.
Plus several more.
It's been a week, I'm waiting for a month.

It is old enough to blast it remorselessly when you don't need to blast it!
