Totally agree, man, tight topical clusters make a huge difference. I’ve noticed that a well-structured internal linking strategy often beats sheer volume of posts. I also prefer focusing on clusters over random keywords, as it feels way more effective long-term.

I focused on building tight topic clusters instead of chasing random keywords.

The bad thing is that it takes time and planning to build tight topical clusters. You won't get as much long-tail traffic or as many chances to rank for a variety of keywords if you post less. It also means that every post has to do well; there can't be any weak links in your content strategy.
 
Quality always beats quantity. A few well researched posts can do more than hundereds of shallow ones.

Well, If you are talking about just one pillar article with 5-10 supporting articles can rank your site so I doubt it. it will only work if you have really quality content in your pillar article.

It is hard to rank with internal linking alone. There are many other factors involved which determine the overall ranking for blog. You also need a lot of good backlinks for example otherwise you will not tank even with internal linking.
 
How do you plan your clusters? Do you start interlinking after publishing content or plan them at keyword research stage?
 
Yeah, clusters are key. Quantity doesn't mean much if it's scattered. A tight cluster with good internal links is solid strategy.
