Need an idea to price my logo designs at. So the big question. How much would you pay for a professional logo design service?
I work very closely with 2 different graphic designers for collaboration. We go together like peanut butter and bananas. The reason I have two- instead of one- is affordability.
One designer will charge approximately $1500 for logo design. Just the logo, not the complete "branding" package... that's her a la carte rate for a logo, and it does include full digital copies of all elements, details, and various sizes.
Clearly that's not within everyone's budget, so I also work with another designer who is currently working on designing a header and 5 featured images for only $200. Logos with her can range from $100 to $500.
But in your case, I would say start lower. I will never recommend you go to fiverr and sell yourself short for only $5 ($4 you get to keep). Not worth the time and effort that should go into designing a quality logo. Since you're new to offering this, you might want to "donate" to a few clients who will give full credit and help promote your quality work. Build up a portfolio before you try charging a specific rate, and when you do set your prices you can base your rate on proven results.
Of course, $4 logos might be better than free/donating... just don't get stuck there!
