Hello!
First off, thanks for reading this.
I am starting my own ORM business and just stuck on thinking about a reasonable price for monthly SEO. The keyword searches will be based on their business type, in the city. example, plumbers in New York.
I offer guaranteed first page results.
Thanks again!

Depends upon work involved & the quality service you're providing to your customer!

You knows it, how effective you gonna work for the project and how good your service will be.. Quote affordable pricing in accordance to it :) Simple!

I think its best to offer a tiered service. Its always nice to position your "premium" service with something that seems like they can't live without it and if they get the "cheap" service they will regret not spending the extra $$. Maybe offer like 1 keyword for cheap but 7-10 for premium. They think they are getting a lot more even though probably only going to really target 2-3 kws.

Hello!
I offer guaranteed first page results.

If you offerthis you should charge high so in some cases that you failed to do that, you will not make a loss since you are making an income from other clients.

just my 2cent.

First of all, best of luck with your endeavor.

Two points I would like to share.

First - When deciding on how much you charge, I would first look at how much money your service will make for your client. Work from your niche. If you specialize in ranking hairdressers then you might charge less than you charge a plumber. If you rank dentists or plastic surgeons, then you would charge more than you would a plumber, even though it might be easier to rank a local plastic surgeon (seriously - look into it)

Secondly - I wouldn't focus on selling your service as offering guaranteed page 1 rankings. I say this for two reasons. 1 - It doesn't really mean anything (plumbers in new york averages 20 searches a month) You would be better off guaranteeing an increase in the number of inquiries to your client. 2 - You are at the mercy of the SERPS. If your client drops off the first page, and you've guaranteed first page rankings, then you won't get paid that month. At least, if you just guarantee more leads, there are other ways to get traffic.

Search on the market place & there you will find many SEO service & price. Just compare them with your service & decide your self. Keep in mind, Buyer/Client always searching for Quality Work in Best Price.

How can you guarantee something WITHOUT knowing what to charge for it?
If you do SEO you should KNOW what your time and your service are worth.

I charge a lot more than others in the same field and a lot less than big agencies, but I collect their dropouts as agencies are usually crap at SEO.

Do you know what I did? I decided I wanted to make x amount per month/year out of necessities, bills, and a little spending money, then thought about how many keywords/clients that would need. Once I reached my goal, I started charging per keyword with a minimum of 4 kws. Now I'm making close to double my original target. I still live within the original amount and the remainder is saved (6 months of monthly costs in case of a total loss of clients/revenue or illness) and the rest invested in other businesses that don't rely on SEO.

What you charge isn't important to anyone else other than yourself. Clients will pay, you just have to find the right ones that think it's worth it.
