Hi Guys,

I hope Im posting this thread in the right section...

I would like to know your thoughts about this project for my Potential SEO Client. I don't really know what I should charge him and how hard it will be to rank the website for this keywords since the competition is mostly Wikipedia and Universities. What would be a fair price and what do you think about the keywords difficulty ?

So my client would like to rank internationally for multiple keywords (not local) related to his industry.

Here is some of the main keywords we want to target:

operations research

process improvement

operational research

business process improvement

supply chain optimization

optimization in operations research

and many more related keywords.

What do you think ?

Thanks

Has s/he every done SEO before?

Charge them whatever they are willing to pay. :)

No, no seo work have been done on his website ever.

500$ is not appropriate for this kind of project.

If that's the case forward them to Fiverr and tell them to fuck off

That's not what I mean, I wanted to say that 500$ imo is not enough to cover such a large campaign.

imo 500$ is for local seo not international.

Agreed. This is a $X,XXX type of project. To be honest, you're going to have a lot of trouble outranking your competition unless you have lots of experience and know what you're getting into. Just getting on to the first page for "operations research" is going to be quite the struggle. I would say you can charge anywhere from $1,500-$4,000 IF you know what you're doing. Don't take on a job like this unless you're fully aware of what you're dealing with.

$3K-$5k/month and tell them they need at least 3-4 months to get nice results.
