how much do homeless people make?

I would think that there are some people out there willing to help and give. But im sure they have days or even weeks where people just dont give a shit. Im one of those people for the most part cuz alot of bums are that way because there either to lazy to work or they just dont give a shit. Now i know some cant help it with mental or physical problems. But but most of them are just damn lazy!

Most homeless people spend it on drugs, that's why their homeless

When I was younger I used to work at a fish and chip store that was a couple doors up from a bank. There was a guy who used to come in every hour and ask if he could change the coins he had into notes. The guy made on average $20 an hour and would sit there for 3 hours a day 5 days a week. One day I asked him basicaly how he was getting so much? He said I ask if they have any spare change for a phone call or for a tram ticket (Australia Melbourne), he would tell them he only needs 20 cents. Because it was only 20 cents people gave it to him and it added up.

Saying that a a current afair show did see who got more, a bum or a guy in a suit. They got the same guy to play both parts. When he was a bum he got some money may be $60 but when they put him in a suit he got tripple that. All he did is ask them for a money for a train ticket or some money to make a phone call. Because he was in a suite people trusted him more.

So going back to the guy at the fish and chip shop, he didn't look like a bum, but he didn't look like a guy in a suite he basicaly look like your average Joe. And he didi this atleast five years prior to teh T.V show.

WOW. might as well try something like this

Tricks of the homeless:

The guy targeted me in Dallas, Texas while I was cleaning my BMW at a car wash.

He was wearing a suit. He said that his truck ran out of gas a couple blocks away and was needing five bucks for gas. He would gladly pay me my $5 back once he got home and send me a check.

I asked him what kind of truck he drove. He told me. I told him to sit tight and if that truck was there I would come back and give him his five bucks to help him out.

I found no truck. I came back and the dude was gone.

I circled the area trying to find the guy. Saw him in a parking lot and confronted him.

He acted like it was stolen at first. "oh my I hope its not stolen"

I got the guy to confess that he was a con and I asked him how much he made. He said anywhere from $70-125 a day!

lol

Now everybody can get screwed when they ask me for money.

Here is another trick that was tried on me- I was in Chicago and this guy was following me and my friends around. "let me shine your shoes" Eventually I gave in.

-How much?

-$8

-okay go ahead.

-Once finished. Here is $8

-Its $8 per shoe plus tip!

-Get lost!

LOL

Wow, in Saigon just about 50 cents "shoe shine" (a pair)

I walk past one in Bath St outside Soups U every morning and he's still to get a quid from me. if the glasgow hobbos told jokes or played musical instruments like London hobbos I'd part with the odd quid but 30 knicker is a joke, that burd is mental

I once heard of a lady and 3 kids got their shit together and worked year round at a busy intersection (the kids not as much I think, but the lady was always out there) with a really good sob story that involved her kids some how, had several stories depending on the situation etc... got really serious basically. I think her kids each made at least 50k a year and the lady was making 6 figures easy. True story, heard it from manswers, i think.

I did actually did this once after stopping and observing a bum and wondering this same thing. I talked to him for a few and he told me it's easy. You just stand there with a sign. That's it.
He told me that with my looks, (young, handsome, "kid") I would do great. He said the women would give me a lot of money. So, forgot to mention, I was pretty drunk so I was like "sure wtf, time for a little research". He handed me his jacket (so I looked the part). I went to the spot he told me nearby (off-ramp) and simply stood there with a his sign that read "Hard times. Please Help."
I got 80 dollars in about 30 minutes. A whole 20 from some desperate housewife I could have easily taken home from the bar, if that were the scenario...
Was very eye opening... I have never done it since, but I always wonder "what if I had stood there all day..."

OH WHICH REMINDS ME: The other day I needed change for a twenty for bus fare (planning on downtown drinking), and while out in the parking lot, I saw a pizza delivery person. I was like, "well instead of going back into the store, I bet this person would have a million singles".
I actually half flagged this lady down and started to explain that I needed change for the bus and she looked like the right kind of person. Then, she starts to give me a ton of change and I was like, "No I need change for a twenty"..
She looked at me kind of funny and then said, her last delivery cleared her out of small bills. And I said thanks and was on my way..
It wasn't till a couple of minutes later that I realized I had gone on for a moment about "change", never mentioning that I had money on me. She thought I was pan handling AND this chic was entirely ready to hand me bus fare. LOL. I seriously did LOL.

lol are u serious about the first one? :D

UK homeless people should move to Ireland, social welfare is ?188 pw and cause their from uk their entitled to it

the true homeless guy on the street - $25-$30 a day if the really work at it ...strange story about the average to-do young professionals dressing in tattered clothing and
hitting the streets on the weekend to pickup a few bucks ... you can imagine someone with some brains can make $100 a day ... hmm ..

About 5 yrs ago I was walking past a bank when a guy came out from inside. A homeless guy called out to him "change please, change please". The guy said "I am trying, I am trying" and walked on..you should have seen the look on the homeless guy's face:)
