How much can I make per day online if I'm good with programming?

Hi all, I have a couple of questions, if I'm good with programming ,first, how can I start to make money online? ,second, how much do I expect to make?
for starters I'm thinking about making automated programs that help with tedious tasks if I sell those how much can I make?

You can make a lot, expect lots of money. You need to find out what people need programmed. Check the HaF section here at bhw.
 
Depends upon what is the programming knowledge that you have, without core expertise it is very generic to say 'programming knowledge'
 
I make my money writing code. No matter how good you are, same old story, you need to find a demand.

depends on how many demands you get per day , no Hire = No money . simple as that.

I suggest to start with something like Zennoposter or another framework that would make it easy for you to automate tasks. This way you can focus on coming up with strategies to make money and automating them to scale instead of spending most of your time focusing on how to code beforehand. Also, you'd make the most money by either making custom software for businesses or creating your own SaaS for a passive income - i'd pursue the latter.
 
500 $ a day is a lot, most I sustainably made was 333 $ a day which is about 41$ per hour. In regular freelancing sites I have a 50 $ / hour rate but usually lower it for clients that cannot afford it.
In my opinion if what you want is to make as much as you can as a regular freelancer what you should do is find a niche where you feel like you excel, polish that skill and the marketing that goes with it and make sure that you are able to complete the work in a fraction of the time you bill the client for (eg. scrapper job should take 4 hours and you complete it in 2 (with the appropriate quality obviously)) then the client pays the same let's say 160 $ except you made 80 $ / hour.

I know it sounds stupid but it's honestly stupid simple and it works, all you have to do is focus on what you excel.
 
Don't thinking in terms of $/hour as a contractor/freelancer. Let's say if I were a programmer who could get a job for $30/hour and work the standard 2000 hours per year. That's 60k/year, but I have to work 2000 hours per year.

If I spend 2000 hours building a project that sustains $200/day, then my first year would be ~$36/hour. Year 2 would be $~72/hour, assuming I didn't reinvest significant time into the project.

As a developer working for someone else, you contribute to their intellectual property. If your programming skills are decent, you'd earn much more building things for yourself or your own business.
 
This is not a bad question as suggested by some. It will give an idea to new programmers about how much they are worth.
 
being good at programming doesnt garauntee income unlike a lot of non programmers think. I program well and still broke and know others the same.

You still need to know winning IM methods to automate. You could be best programmer in the world but how will it do any good if you only know shit methods?
 
Depends on what you program. A programming language is just a tool for you to build what you intend to create, unless you plan to just work for somebody. Selling software isn't that great, but selling SaaS is very good. Learn the difference.
 
Depends on many factors and how people demand those programs and for which niche/market I believe
