How many wiki's are you blasting usually? I have a list of 5K media wiki's (success posted), but I'm afraid to post to all of them at once. Even without pinging these links. What do you think guys? Currently I'm blasting only to 1000 wiki sites and it seems that there's no harm to my money sites (they are 1-2 months old). Just wondering... Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Use them for second TIER, don't use it directly on your money site in that numbers...

Diversify

All backlinks doesn't get indexed at once. It takes sometime. Generally i have seen wiki pages doesn't get indexed very easily. Either you have to scrapebox blast these links to get indexed or you have to submit it to linklicious or lindexed.

I always do huge blasts without a problem. Most of the links are no follow anyway

I set up a brand new site this week with some great articles provided by SyZygy... set the articles to drip post over the next month or so and hit the main page with about 2,500 wikis.

Put those links in lindexed to have them drip crawled over the next 10 days.

Guaranteed to have no issues at all.

I use wikis for all tiers as they are one of the few link types where you control more or less all of the content on the page.

As others said the main thing is dripping the crawls. The most I've ever done in a blast is 5k successes spread over a site's 6 pages and crawled in 1 day. I did it as a test and there was no ill effect.

Also I use Ultimate Demon so I like to set up multiple link types scheduled over two weeks and then get the successful results to feed into BLI/Lindexed. That way I have all sorts of links in various tiers being crawled daily. I don't like it to look like ONLY 5k wikis over two weeks, then ONLY 1k articles over two weeks, then ONLY T2 stuff, etc.

Major of links are no -follow , does you guys feel that will helpful , Be aware non relevant link are badly hit by penguin .

Quantity of followed links is mostly a list building issue. Like most link building methods, there are crappy ways to do it that will bring you no value and there are quality ways to do it that will bring you value. That's why you'll have 100 threads on BHW telling people to do X and then 100 more threads telling people not to do X/saying it doesn't work. There's a LOT of variables. If you take the time to build a good list you can get lots of followed links. Here is a fairly old thread on getting followed wiki links. That said, I don't mind links that aren't followed because using only links that are looks unnatural.

Relevancy is why I like wikis, because I control most of the page content.

(WARNING: conjecture ahead!)

I think Google primarily devalues links based on page relevancy, not domain relevancy. Not because they don't have the ability to do that, but because a huge quantity of natural backlinks that G supposedly loves are from one-off pages on someone's blog, a news site, forum, bookmarking/sharing/social network site, etc. These are not sites that devote their whole existence to dog training or blue widgets. Telling the whole web that their links are of no value unless they restrict their domain to a specific subject is, IMO, contrary to G's best interests. In short, to do that would be to promote almost exclusively unnatural linking schemes (like ours).

Of course you'll get more value from a relevant domain, but I think that is not because of devaluing, but primarily because that domain and those pages are also backlinked with relevant keywords. Hence the power of tiered structures. A content-orphan can be made to look relevant when others link to it with relevant content/anchors.

u gotta be careful with wikis
if you haven't been to the site manually and seen how it looks, don't post to it
i accidentally hurt a client's ranking posting indiscriminately to wikis recently
and i though i had done good by removing suspicious urls from my list
but evidently there are a LOT of honeypot wikis out there
and there are quite a few decently managed wikis that will report your ass fast

look at the recent activity page of the wiki
this and the content on the homepage will be your best clues as to whether or not it is a good idea to post there
if the homepage or recent activity has vi@gra or other dark black sp@m on it, keep away
if the recent activity has moderation logs in it, keep away

This depends on many factors. How old is your site? What kind of linking profile do you have allready? Do it look natural to get 5k links from wikis now?

If you need difersity for your anchors, naked url links and/or no follow links to make your linking profile look more natural - then Wikis are perfect for you.

But if you don't have any links before wiki blast, I dont think it would be wise to do that all at once.

When I launch new site, I usually build like only around 500 links per week to it (1st tier links) and they are mix of social bookmarks, article directories, web2.0's, directory submissions, video sites, social signals and wikis (+something small things)....

You need difersity in your backlink profile!
