How Many Of You Have Dated/Married Abroad?

I'm actually very curious about this. Internet marketing provides us with a rare opportunity that is not available to common people to explore other regions while still generating revenue. With this option available to us, I was wondering just how many of the members of BlackHatWorld have dated or married someone from a foreign country.

I dated abroad. It didnt work well even when I moved and everything, it just didnt work like many relationships dont work out pretty well, but yeah, you are right since many people cant have it!

Date abroad works really well at the early time of internet, like 1999 when we have internet and people start to use it for basic communicate like chat and email, it's something new and replacing for tradition communicate like phones.

Later when the time move on and digital come out, it's giving more choice and advantage but also brought in more trouble and kill your relationship. People get stuff more easy and don't treat it with respect. Okay, if you're dating abroad for example you're living somewhere from Europe and dating a hot blond American/Canadian girl, her age around 20-35, okay you want to moving fast with your girl but the distance and technology may kill it,

the scenario is your girl has a lot of things to deal with like, social relationship, facebook, smartphone... take away her time and giving her more distracted, something not happen from the 90'.

You know how much pressure modern life people have to deal with, for example like people from Korea, their research said that if it's keep going like this for 50 years, Korean will disappear because of their woman don't give birth at all.

You know how rich is the Korea and their technology develop like Samsung and stuff, it's all adding to killing people relationship.

Whether you are into IM or not, moving (either party) wherever is doable. The rest? All excuses... if you really don't wanna be together then you won't, if you do, you will move earth and oceans to be together.

If you wanna call that BS, then do it; I can tell you from experience as we both were BROKE and more than 8k km away; TREMENDOUS amount of problems with visas, governments and so on... yet we still wanted it that bad that we made it happen.

Just like in business or in sport, you can get anything done for as long as you REALLY want it. The rest? Excuses.

I actually live in the United States (ignore my "location"), so I get what you're saying about distance and technology killing a relationship as most of the women here are too distracted by their devices to form a stable or long distance relationship, but I've always assumed it was worse in the West than it is in the East. I can also understand how the Internet has given people more of a choice and make them less appreciative towards it.

What do you mean by how much pressure modern people have to deal with? Explicate the last 2 paragraphs, please.

I believe you about the situation being doable whether you're in IM or not. I actually know a guy who works at a regular average paying job 12 hours a day, 5 days a week and he managed to marry an attractive Filipino woman. Anyway, thanks for this post.

It didn't really hit me about how much technology has killed relationships until I was on a subway in Boston this summer visiting my daughter. I put everything down and really took time to observe my surroundings. I listened to the quiet-too quiet for public transportation. A child got up and was smashing her body against the subway door while her mother was lost in her cell phone activities. I told my daughter that everyone was looking down and no one was talking to each other. It was sad when you think about it. One day this year, I went on a day trip to the casino with my parents and their Senior group. The Senior group rents a bus once a month to go to the casino, but anyone is welcome to go. I had a blast with the Seniors. They told jokes, laughed, passed out food, and socialized on the bus. The bus trip was lively and fun. They weren't paying any attention to their cell phones. My parents are going to a funeral today. My father would not have known that his cousin died if my sister didn't tell him. His oldest cousin on his mother's side and no one bothered to call and tell him. My sister found out on facebook. The obituary wasn't even in the newspaper because newspapers are going down the tubes and people don't bother with them. People get their news online now. I can't imagine what things will be like in 50 years.

Thats why I born. To end this shit once for all, humanity its getting worse and worse, and has already passed a point of "never-return". It has to be destroyed.

I have i girlfriend. however i consider ending it. I guess you always want, what you can't have. Once i wanted a girlfriend, guaranteed sex etc. Now i just want my F*ing freedom back.

I'm from Finland and studying my undergrad degree in the UK, so yes, I have dated abroad a lot. Thankfully not ladyboys like W130SN though. Not gotten around to marrying someone while at uni, though the reason to that is just that I haven't been drunk enough.
