How many links in a guest post?

I'd say 1 link would be more natural but you can also use two, not more than that though.

I don't think that 2 links look natural at all. I always go with one.

Yeah two links per post is fine, anyhow your homepage will be already stronger. So try to build links for inner pages only.
 
2 links are enough,
1 link to your site and 2nd link to an authority site.
