Hi guys,


I just wanted to share my first blog post on my new site with you all.


This post looks at the organic ranking results you can get by using a click bot to manipulate you CTR from SERPs. I did this test over 6 weeks and the results speak for themselves.


I'm running a follow-up test soon with much stricter processes in place which will make the reporting a lot better.


This is worth a look if you haven't heard much about this before.

Interesting, would like to see another test on this with multiple websites.
 
Been saying this works for ages now, but no one listens (guess it's better that way :P). Been ranking a site for 7 months now with < 200 backlinks and DA/PA < 15. No other major seo strategies, only perfect on-page and CTR manipulation. Outranking sites with DA > 30 with over 5K backlinks etc. It works... for now...

Yes, I know. I have plenty more tips and test results that I'll be posting on my blog over the next few months including my complete guide on how I get my "money sites" to rank. And it's DEAD simple.

can you define perfect on-page?
 
I m doing this tests as well. But i m doing it extremely smart and i really act like a human.
I did not notice a early boost, liek the guy on the picture said. My rankings did not raise over the night. But slowly i m gainign momentum. Sill lots of testings need to be done.
 
@OP hey which bot did you use?
 
developed my own clickbot, changing proxies. Google registered the clicks in webmaster report, did it for over a month now and no results. Read a patent by google talking about CTR thresholds (basically if the CTR is above a certain threshold then google does not use it to influence position and might even penalize you for it), and decided to update the bot to only click so as the CTR doesn't break a certain threshold. Once again, no results... interested to know how you managed to get there...
 
Nice effort but I'm very very skeptical..

CTR may or may not have a slight reflection on rankings.. but if you think it's as simple as building a click bot, going to page xxx then constantly clicking your site in hopes of ranking.. you're in for a rude awakening. Sounds a lot like the bullshit John Limbocker is forever trying to push.. and anyone with half a brain knows why - to sell his crappy software/service.

You should be concentrating on CTR for what it is intended - legit clicks! There is so many little fixes and tricks to increase CTR properly when on the first and second pages. When done right your efforts will be rewarded with traffic wile taking it away from sites higher than you that don't have their shit together optimization wise.

I'm just finishing up a thread on this actually hence my post here. It'll be live this evening keep an eye out for it.
 
I have tried many of the click bots and seen no major improvements (maybe 1 or 2 positions but nothing to write home about).
I think Google can tell a fake click/search query a mile away, unless the click bot can act as a real user (none currently do) then I am pretty sure Google can see it for what it is and just ignore it, worst case scenario is they can penalise you, as users of one of the well known bots have previously confirmed.

Ahhh the old "manipulate the CTR and rank like a boss" scheme.

There was a "SEO guru" who last year swore by this and wrote blog posts similar to this one....guess what the guru is doing now?

Not SEO lol

He is delivering beer and beverages for a local bottling plant.

...guess his CTR theory was spot on....haha

For example, a user that almost always clicks on the highest ranked result can have his good clicks assigned lower weights than a user who more often clicks results lower in the ranking first (since the second user is likely more discriminating in his assessment of what constitutes a good result).

Frequent queries can fall prey to self-reinforcement, where the longer a document is gathering clicks, the more likely it is to place well in future searches and thus to gather more clicks. Such self-reinforcement can be avoided using recency based adjustment.

Is it the way it's done nowadays? I don't know, but those are fair points.
